					| |
					| I've pushed my 970 up to 4.1Ghz but so far as I can see a i5 seems to for some reason outperform it even at stock.
Anyone can who can tell me how much of a boost I'd get if I switched to an i5 and pushed it to around 4 or 4.5Ghz?
I'm mostly thinking about games since it's there where it counts the most ( don't do any video editing nor anything else really CPU intensive).

 I feel so
just thinking about the money I've wasted buying this chip... T_T | |

					| Defo worth it man, the 2500k will last you atleast 3/4 more years before you NEED to replace it.
Without a single tought given, i can give you this advise. I know that 99% here will agree with me

					| Yeah,. I was going to buy the i5 when I was upgrading my system but made a booboo along the way. :/
I've heard something about piledriver also being AM3+ (hopefully same socket as well) so I might upgrade to it since I'm not too happy about spending too much money on getting a new mobo and cpu.

Damnit, why didn't I check that the 970 wasn't just an upgrade from my 940 since they use different sockets (I made a stupid newbie mistake and HAD to upgrade my mobo then).

 Damnit, damnit, damnit....

					| Put it on sale. I also made a noob mistake and bought a h67 and a locked 2500. I sold them and bought the right parts, a z68 and 2500k.

					| honestly, i take intel over amd anyday.
While in the gpu department, its open game between amd ati and nvidia (imho), when it comes to cpu's , intel is lightyears ahead amd.

Not to mention the overclock capabilities from the intel cpu (dunno how it is with amd tho, enlighten me ^^)

for example my last cpu was a E6320 , stock 1.67ghz dual, runs at 3.5-4.0ghz (depending model) with stock cooler lol.

and my current i920 , 2.67ghz , runs at 3.5ghz stock aswell, np

(i did disable HT tho, since i have no use for it at all and all it does is generate additional heat hehe(

I'm not really sure anyone would buy it tho...
I've tried selling parts before for a good price (my GTX285 over a year ago) and not a single person was interested in it and I went as low as 650SEK (roughly 100USD).

So I'm stuck with this til either I get my taxrefund and buy new shit or piledriver hits the market with AMAZING performance.

My mom got it cause her 8600 broke...

But yeah, I wouldn't hesitate to give it away since I've done it before with periphials and stuff.
