Looking for a quick answer about this monitor:
Samsung SyncMaster S24B350H

Is this monitor good for gaming? Pretty much all I care about.
I haven't been paying attention to monitors and their specs for many years so I don't know shit about it Sad

Reason I asked about this 1 is cause the shop nearby has it and I need one fast (tomorrow probably lol).
So no time for me to look and read around to gather info etc.

Not particularily no. TN panel, no pivot and those "starlight" touch buttons on samsungs are fucking annoying.

Although technically if you care about response times TN panel has lower ones at cost of image quality and viewing angles.

Thanks for the reply, yea my focus was response time (2ms), if I lose some quality overall. Doesnt matter.

My Samsung T220 (had it for years) is dandy for games (TN-panel).

god damn, 2ms response time considered good, that makes me wish CRTs were still king, 1ms response time and 0.05 pixel pitch

That's a gorgeous monitor, TN be damned, and I found some for around $200 AUD in Australia, yet it's over £200 in the UK ... which is closer to $312. Fucking nuts price.

Costed me 209 euros (Netherlands). Could have been a bit cheaper but I didn't mind.

I just got a Dell U2410. Brilliant monitor, 16:10 (1920x1200), the best ips panel, great for graphics, movies and games!

It also has a huge variety of inputs unlike MOST screens out there:

1x display port
1x hdmi
2x dvi
1x vga
4x usb ports
all in one memory card reader

My suggestion is get one too. Very Happy

If 24" isn't enough u got their 27" and 30".

27" stand is not as adjustable as the 24" though and 30" is nearly double the cost of the 27". If you don't care for 90 deg adjustability and got a graphics card than can handle above FHD res then 27" is probably the BEST choice. My old 20" Dell served me great for 5 years and I even managed to sell it for 120$ to pay for the new one, so they don't lose their value so fast. What I'm saying is, you buy this monitor you won't have to get one for another 5 years or more so it's really a good investment of your money.
