I just got this mouse today, what an amazing mouse it is Smile
Possibly the best mouse I've ever had, so far I've only tested it in Eve Online, Supreme Commander and Fallout 3, but its so nice to hold and it's insanely precise.
I don't feel like the cursor jumps around at all, like it did with my G9 and Razer Copperhead.
Check it out here
And a review

Yea, heard it is supposed to extremely precise. Does it come with weights?, if not, how is the feeling when moving around?. I like when my mouse is sorta heavy. Got a G9 at the mo, can't say I am not happy with it, but if there is something better around I am all for it.

EDIT:Just realized that it's a German company (normally equals quality)...I might actually just order this one Wink. Its almost Xmas...no?

Yeah, this is fantastic. I mean they even publish some CS:S and CS levels to test how precise it is, as it's obvious thats the primary audience - they also have a Roccat sponsored CS:S team.

And it has
Quote:
TCU - TRACKING CONTROL UNIT
Every mouse pad is different. There is an awful lot of mouse pads out there for sale. But this variety also has its disadvantages. The laser of standard gaming mice is calibrated to an average for satisfactory results on most mousepads. That’s why the Kone is provided with the Tracking Control Unit. It is the first and only mouse which analyses the mouse pad and calibrates the laser power exactly to the surface. Learn more about the TCU under the point "TCU-Info".

Its pricey, but no matter...It's my Bday on the 23rd as well so .

Woah looks slick,
I will deff get me one of those some day.

I game with a crappy standard desktop Mouse,
Often i can feel its not that precise as i want it to be. (judging from COD4 Gameplay)

However i still own, cant imagine what i would do whit this kind of mouse Smile

a good mouse and keyboard makes all the difference Smile That's why I love my razer's.

Epsilons mouse though, that's just insane lol, 3200 fucking dpi!

That tracking control that cox posted is a very weird but awesome feature, never heard of a mouse doing that.

Mine Genius mouse has 2000 dpi but I don't know how to make a good use of it. When I put it to 2000 dpi is just very fast (that is i move it like one or two cm and cross over my desktop, 22'' btw). I tried to google it out what does that really mean, but I found no answers. So what's all that fuss about dpi? Btw wicked locking mouse Very Happy

I wasn't too impressed with the mouse myself.
The design and the profile of the company is top notch.
The feel of the mouse is a lot less so. I still prefer my diamondback to this.
I have basically the same criticism as sweclockers, the thumbgrip is ... sketchy.

I also think fisk should be unbanned.

Hm...got my Cone today but it WONT CONECT!.
I deinstalled all Logitech drivers even the G15 keyboard one before conecting. The mouse lights up, but I can't move the darn cursor. Tried everything. Normally I have my mouse connected through the G15 keyboard, and I thought moving the USB to the back of the mobo would help...but no go. Ideas guys...
Cheers!.

EDIT: Fixed. Turns out that my PC did not like the new "beta" driver for some reason. Running V1.29 FRMW 1.32 at the mo and that works.

Reviving 3 years old thread-.- I got the kone+ today and its the best mouse i used so far!!11 The best thing about it, besides its general awesomeness, is its distance control unit which minimizes the lift off distance. One thing reviewers always miss when they test a mouse is mentioning how big is that fucking lift off distance - which drives me nuts. Zero problems with this one! Smile

Hope you don't' have any issues with it. Epsilon's died and they accused him of opening the mouse and tampering with the internals.

DPI just means Dots Per Inch, how many it can read.

also, dammit, i had no idea this thread was so old, my fault really, but i suppose i won't bother asking about it now, i think anything less than 4000 DPI would feel pretty sluggish too.

getting sick of the RAT going dead until i unplug and plug it back in when it gets a piece of dust or dirt or whatever in the laser sensor and.... i love the hardware when it works but the support was really shitty and wouldn't let me keep the old one either, had to use a crappy ancient optical mouse i didn't even know i had while i waited.

seriously though why the fuck do mouse manufacturers keep covering the damn things in plastic that makes your hand sweat for no reason, really getting sick of that too.

Well, I got a Roccat Kone too, but the + version, it rocks! It's definitely a good purchase.
