The generator and the computer

Each ship has a generator capable of producing a fixed wattage, and everything you connect to it drains wattage. A cloaking field, for example, might require almost all the power from the generator, forcing you to turn off all computers and dim all lights in order to successfully cloak.

The computer in the game is a fully functioning emulated 16 bit CPU that can be used to control your entire ship, or just to play games on while waiting for a large mining operation to finish.

so yeah, nearly an entire month and code to pull an april fool's gag? i don't think so and MC fans would lynch him at this point if it didn't happen Smile

not only that, with the huge popularity of minecraft it would be a horribly bad idea to not play it fairly close to the plate with his second game.

also, let me point out, they are using the name scrolls, the court case is finished, bethesda retains the trademark but mojang is allowed to use the name for that game at least.

valiant effort pumpy, but there simply aren't enough Me Gusta and Forever Alone in the known universe to express how awesome this game is sounding Wink

also, i can't really tell, is he making fun of ME3's ending, or MC's? both were equally absurd and arguably shit.

Yeah, anyone can come up with some screenshots to promote a fake game. C'mon. It's April Fools Day in some parts of the world. This is no different than the fake Diablo game Blizzard came up with a few years back.

I heard he was making a space game but with that name and the font-lookalike of Mass Effect, that in itself could be the April Fool's joke. There's no way EA is going to let that name/logo see the light of day.

Sorry garus but why shouldn't his virtual cpu be capable of running asm code? As far as I can see he programmed the virtual cpu and not game logic in ASM. You can see in the later screenshots, where he is programming the asm behaviour in java.

yeah, he's been talking about/working on a space game. But you are kidding yourself if you think it's going to be called Mars Effect using that logo, and have some of the features mentioned. It's clearly an april fool's joke. Not necessarily the whole project, just parts. But even some major game websites are saying that the WHOLE thing is an elaborate joke. Won't be long until we know for sure.
