I took a picture of one girl and she was so fucking ugly on the picture
but in real life she sooooooo fucking hoooooottttttt
why is that ?

Either that or you met her in bad lighting and the flash revealed her true features.

well some more infos would be nice. could be timing...but most likely lighting. show the picture!

yeah get her to smile. put the camera slightly below the height of her eyes. do not let her look into the camera but slightly left or right to it. do not use a direct flash. maybe try to flash up to the ceiling using the reflection. well its a digital camera so that won't be possible... well get a tripod and do not use a flash (when it is dark) and rather set the exposure time higher. tell her not to move. if you ain't got a tripod. set the exposure time up, still no flash and use something else as a tripod...a car roof...something...if you do longer exposures...set a timer...this thing that counts to 5 and automatially does a photo then. that way you won't screw it up just by pushing the button and moving the camera thereby. prush the button and leave the camera alone. then it will take the shot.
better: make a daytime photo...that should be better and get the sun in your back. lol.
to top it...do a manual white balance adjustment.

some ppl just arent photogenic, a slight change in lighting could make a beautyful person look totally ugly, or the person has sensitive eyes and hence cant deal well with the flash or generally focusing eyes on a single spot, ie. the cam. the best pictures you could possibly take are always those you take without the person knowing it, just take a pic while she s doing something, talking to friends etc, and deactivate the flash if possible, ie. on daylight, but toeffy kinda already said all of this.
