ROTK was a disaster
Sorry Injurious but that has got to be the dumbest comment ever seen on this forum !
Good business is where you find it !

Just because you love to wear colourful robes, and believe you live in a land filled with midgets, dragons and mystical beings doesn't mean that my comment about a shitty movie was dumb.
You loved the movie.
I didn’t.
To me it was a disaster in the entire LOTR trilogy.
To you it was a masterpiece.
Your idea of a perfect movie is different than mine
So, just because my comment is different from yours doesn’t make it dumb.
And this is a Batman thread. If you want to continue a discussion about ROTK with me… continue it through the private messaging system on this forum.
I’m sure I won’t be able to convince a fanboy, like you, that the movie, you worship, is a worthless piece of poop, but I’m sure I can throw in a few comments that will help you understand my view of it.

as a child who grew up reading his fare share of batman comics, but not obsessing over miniscule details, i found this to be both an excellent movie and an excellent "adaptation" of the batman comic universe.
skewer away if you're picky enough.

What I seriously hated with ROTK, was Jacksons tasteless wit to bring forth his niche into it... with that mutant orc. Without it, it would have been a morsel better.
Yes, yes I'm back.
Somewhat.

off topic but I agree with anyone who thinks jackson screwed up on LOTR. Sure he made some great movies, but he changed some key things, like say... frodos unwavering friendship with sam (wtf was that with the crumbs?)... and changing faramir's character to basically another boromir... and the most unforgivable of all... REMOVING THE ENTIRE ENDING. how the fuck do you dispose of the taming of the shire? fat fool! oh well.
while I disagree with many things he did, I do think he did a good job of bringing the middle earth and it's characters to the big screen.
back to topic
After sleeping on it, I still think batman begins was excellent

Im a fanboy because I like ROTK
And about the ending, you can't use the baggins ending it would fuck up the whole trilogy.... Because saruman died in ROTK EE version.
It was "based" on the books, and I personally think jackson did a fucking great job, and im fucking glad so did the rest of ....
If you pay attention to details, you will notice some chapters in ROTK are in TTT, because they had to follow the path of frodo, since the LOTR trilogy is huge
@Injorious You don't need to convience anyone, because we love ROTK and that's our opinion. I Love all LOTR Parts, and I hate loosers who say "No the books are better"
Of course books will be better, since your the one reading the book your mind will also create a world based on the words your reading. This is PETER JACKSON'S VIEW OF LOTR IN A FILM's PERSPECTIVE. So if you read all this, you will know what I mean when I say "Hate loosers who say the books are better"
Im so glad the oscar jury was smart enough to give the "man" 11 oscars, he truly created cinema history... and ROTK is part of the trilogy.. I personally can't understand if you like lotr, ttt, you won't like ROTK.. If you hated the trilogy from the start, it would make more sense.
I just love people who hate's TTT because it was darker, gee read the books
But let's stay on the topic, props for Injurious, creating a cool thread, with nice pictures/and great information regarding batman

Go create another thread about how wrong Injurious is if you want, but keep it out of there, thanks.

Damnit I really want to see it but me and my friends have either work or they don't want to see it (don't know why). Probably won't see it until like Thursday cause I'm gonna be busy with work and such and that's the next day I'm off.

Has anyone tried: pot.bbegins.cd1.bin yet as listed in various places as an English version - - probably just a cam though.
Watched the prog on the UK Premier as it does look pretty decent and gritty - the darker, more brooding and bleak the better!
Except for one thing, the caped one's love interest does look a bit gormless but I will wait to see her perfomance in this before I comment.
Anyone else enjoy ( I was surprised) that Matrix rip off 'Equilibrium' with Bale?

If you watched Equilibrium you would see that it's a martial arts film with guns, not a Matrix rip. |
pot version is definitely a cam - in the beginning a bit jerky - the guys shakes the cam and even covers it at one point but after that calms down.
The opening shot are quite stunning, panoramic and are not done justice on the small screen.
I have seen Equilibrium, which is why I mentioned it - it would hardly make sense for me to do so otherwise, would it?
Actually the gloomy Orwellian-esque 1984 setting it the part I was referring to and not the action sequences.
The parallels are there if you scratch beneath the cosmetic surface that you allude to: police state/martial law, mind & media control, faction rebel groups living outside the system etc.
By the by, why must Liam croak or suffer traumatic injury in everything he appears in of late: e.g. the awful crusade film and this?
