That was actually good, and the romantic part wasn't boring. Plus Chris O'dowd finally got a role lasting more than 30 seconds. \p/

Also women Reaction

i thought you've seen it and i just named it. it's a good comedy.

In Time - 3.5/10 - an excellent idea totally and utterly buttfucked by abyssmal execution. The first 25 minutes or so were very good. It actually made me believe the low ratings here were just trolling attempts. Esepcially Olivia Wilde's latest scenes were very well done and very powerfull. And then, it all goes to shit. It turns into a simple hunt and cliche is piled upon cliche. There were also some serious plotholes just for the sake of furthering the plot. I don't know WTF Timberlake is trying to do these last years, but an actor he definitely is not. What a shame, what a shame.
Who the fuck gets Olivia Wilde in his movie and doesn't use her? The other girl was a joke compared to Wilde.

Tree of Life 2.5/10

I don't even know where to start from... The plot was hardly there and in the first half I thought I was watching the Nature Channel. Otherwise the acting was pretty good. Maybe I just didn't understand the deepness of the movie, but I can't be the only one.

lol, i admire those who did. That movie required multiple viewings. And that counted for all my friends aswell. Everyone found they noticed something new each time they saw it.

Although I deeply enjoyed the Matrix and it is one of my all time favorite movies, in my opinion, the movie was fairly easy to be understood in a first viewing, even with a modest amount of focus.

I don't understand where did this notion emerged that the Matrix was a difficult movie to understand?

It's obvious that you can make several parallel interpretations of it, political, philosophical, etc, but regardless of how you choose to interpret the movie, the main plots are very straightforward and easy to be understood!

I understand that The Tree of Life is indeed a hard movie to follow through, but as for The Matrix I just can't comprehend that argument.

people have different opinions of what the matrix was about. as you said different interpretations. therefore there is no clear cut answer for people. so that's why your friend will be like did you notice that while morpheus was giving neo the pill there was a glitch in his glasses? OMG!! Did you notice that when trinity ran from the cops you could see neo walking on the street? NO! OMFG! YOUR SRS!?

And then it goes on about how it's all related and blah blah blah blah the plot of the movie was simple, the idea was simple and then later on it became a fucking fairy tale. I still love 2 and 3 for audio design.

thing is a movie is as deep as the writer\the work its based on etc. and wachowskis aren't famous for deep, deep, deep, deep works. matrix 1 was a fluke which brought forth the lawsuits where some lady went all they stole her idea... blah blah blah. People are giving matrix soooooo much credit that it's disgusting. Tree of life, i haven't seen yet, malick, have seen all of his works and I do know where some people are coming from when they can't understand it. malick is a fuckin philosopher. He'll wrap your brain around a lemon and pour razor sharp grains of salt on top of that before he begins mashing your nuggen with a soft mallet.

I hope tree of life is as thought out like new world, thin red line, badlands, and days of heaven. all of which are 10/10 in my books.

For me, The Matrix has no sequels, they picked a magnificent movie and completely ruined and dumb it down what was great about it in those sequels, so I decided to forget they even exist.

I interpreted The Matrix from perhaps 3 completely different parallel perspectives, but if you ask my opinion about what was the theme that the Wachowski brothers wanted to get across, I believe it was a political statement and an analogy/critique of modern society.

I have only seen Thin Red Line and The New World prior to Tree of Life, and as much as I loved ALL of them, I can say that The Tree of Life is much more grandiose and deep than the previous ones referred.

The Tree of Life is a work of art without precedent in a genre of it's own!

Drive 4/10 I got nothing against slowly pacing movies, but having an socially fucking retarded main character ruins the experience. All those awful silent moments just made me want to shut it off. I watched it til the end, and it got better once the action started.

so damn frustrating.. i was really enjoying it up till he took her hostage at the estate
it's like they at some point had a good movie there but rewrote the ending to fit the corporate narrative
i mean.. taking hostages and theft are valid economic tools now?
