Me Gusta Me Gusta

Ahaha epic comment :

Quote:
This is a startling example of the ubiquity of male privilege in geek and gaming culture. We are not drawn here to celebrate Crystal's creative talent in designing and modelling these costumes professionally but to rape her exposed body with our lusty nerd eyes. Had these been pictures of a professional male cosplayer, users would be clamoring in the comments for "less cosplay bullshit" and more reporting on "actual gaming." However, because they will have the opportunity to visually ravage the supple flesh of a young woman they will accept this as an article related to "gaming culture."

I condemn this article's flagrant disrespect toward women of all backgrounds and ideologies and invite you you to condemn it with me. Some of you will dismiss, deflect, and derail the stinging criticisms I have raised here, but that is why we are all the more in need of moral champions and crusaders to make geek culture more acceptable to women by censoring women who dress provocatively.

This is also highly offensive to gaymers and Latinos, for reasons which would require a whole other article.

The only ones that looked the part in my opinion were Lara Croft, Kitana (my personal favorite - nice pissed off glare), and Jack.

The rest, meh.
