It's 55 Gigs actually, and I'm almost finished downloading it, from what I read about this release and from previous experience from earlier X Plane versions, it completely puts any competition to shame Wink

xplane9 with the global scenery was six DVDs (DVD9 I believe) so I'm guessing that 64gb (or 55gb) is about right.

the problem with xplane is that unless you have a beefy system it runs like shit. The physics/flight modelling spaz on a lower end machine even with details turned way down. I had a 2.4ghz dual-core and xplane on low detail ran like shit. Aircraft were almost uncontrollable. Anything more than a minor deflection of the control surfaces and the planes would either spin out of control or overstress. Was much better with an older quad core and more memory but still wasn't great.

And I've heard the same about xp10. Not to mention, at least with xplane 9, it looked like shit. Smile (and their helicopter flight model sucked just as bad as FSX. at least initially Smile )

addonia-xplane10a or VIP-addonia-xplane10a... Both look to be the same release. I'll let someone else try it first and see if it works. I'll give it a whirl but after xp9 I don't have high hopes of it running well at all on my computer Smile

edit: looks like the VIP named one has pars

Save yourselves some time and just try the demo first. It's exactly the same minus scenery.
It still runs and looks crap for me. Still beta though.
