There's a crack for it on the ALI213 website but I can't test it since the game just bogs down y processor and doesn't run properly. Processor usage is at 100% but there's no hard-drive access. :/

I guess that's for removing the timer, interesting to call it a crack but I guess said timer does work as a protection. Very Happy

EDIT: I was mistaken, it's for removing the Steam dependency (Steam demo version.) entirely. Smile
(Which it does without fault, even the ini file is set up correctly.)

EDIT: Wonder if breaking the functions in the exe file would work.
(Start_Demo_Timer to Start_Zemo_Timer for example, changed a few others, can't do anything fancy but if it's text I can change it without any problems.)

EDIT: Whatever it did I caused the auto-saving mechanic to function, needs a controller though. Very Happy

Considering that the whole world has been created by R.A. Salvatore, I'd say that's a definite check.

I dunno. The last world Salvatore created that I read was pretty much him going on about depth perception every single fucking time a Cyclops was out throwing something.

I said "based on the demo".

Meaning, if all his writing is like that in the demo - then he's a dreadful hack writer.

Very simple, really.

Has been mentioned but here's a quote on why there's a few issues in the demo, I don't doubt the full version will have some issues of it's own but hopefully a close to launch day patch will sort out the worst of it. Smile

And about that save function it seems a bit incomplete so I've not gotten anything out of it yet so I concentrated on the timer.
(And I probably broke some other stuff due to my oh so smooth hack by renaming the "start_demo_timer" line to start _zemo_timer and some lines below it for the minute and seconds counter. Razz
(stop_demo_timer when renamed stop_zemo_timer - or what you want to use - is what triggered the save system, I would have imagined the start function to trigger it and not the stop function but I shouldn't try to understand how it works. Razz )

EDIT: I think I got rid of most glitches albeit it's not 100% tested but this should remove the timer.

demo was quite nice , despite the god awful graphics .....omg those jaggies and low res textures

it doesn't help that i had to force AA from CCC to make the game work

Yeah there's that driver issue when enabling post-processing, funny that it can be worked around by forcing AA though hopefully it'll be properly fixed, eventually.

When I played "The Witcher" demo, all I could think about was dang, this game has a REALLY intriguing storyline! Insta-bought the retail game on Steam. After playing the "Kingdoms of Amalur" demo, I can't say I have much interest in getting the retail.

You're thinking about buying it?! Laughing I hardly have some interest in downloading the full game after playing the demo. I don't think I will...

Wasn't really impressed with the demo either. Lots of glitches, graphics and controls are clearly aimed at consoles, not PCs. It's good to see it comes out on Steam as well, though. At 75% off, I'd consider getting it via my US buddy. Razz

Didnt like the game at all, gfx look pretty dated and cartoonish, even an mmo like guild wars look better. Inventory is really unconfortable, sounds are horrible (and sound positioning absolutely atrocious). Camera is way too close when attacking and combat itself is not as I think it´d be. It tries to mix hack & slash with rpg elements but it fails imo. Story seems generic too. Glad i played the demo, saved me from buying it.

The files are mostly from mid-November, some are even earlier around August or so but it's still somewhat recent.
(Patched the exe so I don't remember the file date on that unfortunately.)

Game plays exactly like I thought, Fable mixed with God of War/whateverotherbuttonmasher. It's definitely made for gamepads but works just fine with keyboard. The inventory is almost as bad as unmodded Skyrim and the camera is way too zoomed in.

I like it overall though. It's basically what I wanted Fable to be. It has a proper demo too, which is always a plus.

I don't know what browser you are using but Multiupload absolutely hates Firefox (Or maybe it's NoScript despite it being mostly disabled.) or some such (Always hangs and tries to execute some script.) and I've only managed to make it work with IE so try that default browser and see if that works.

(Clicking on the link "image" also opens the URL address to them, the blue link next to it downloads the file or well transfer to the site with that URL, I mostly just use Multiupload directly for downloading as it's faster and without any ques or other limits.)

Firefox is the culprit I think. Will try it again later. Thanks.
