It seems I'm the only guy here playing skyrim with no mods or texture packs ?

Nah. I can assure you that if you have a PC with enough horsepower you won't experience any sign of instability (as long as you install everything correctly of course )
Was pretty obvious how it would work (Distributed via Steam as a "tool" or how to categorize it.) but I found the CreationKit in the Steam registry.
EDIT:
EDIT: (Somewhat unrelated but still interesting.) Found a MKHDGame.exe file and it's using UE3 but it's probably not that, or maybe it is.
(And if it is someone is likely going to be a bit mad that someone else forgot to comment that out and call it "testapp" just as with Alan Wake which can still be identified in the same way even if the AppID / Name is obscured a bit.)
(Decrypt key is there too but it can still change and there's no real threat of a disc leak either, obviously.)
PS. that wallpaper seems to express the situation quite accurately
yep that's the size...
Something similar happened to me too with another Razor release some months ago (I think it was Empire Total War). I managed to "fix" it by copying all the files from the iso into a separate folder and then starting the installation from there.

^^ how does that address the problem that there is no cd2?
It's likely the iso was corrupt somehow. While there isn't more than one physical disc, the files on the iso are named after discs. My guess is it was looking for the second one and it was corrupted somehow and couldn't continue, much like missing a file in the middle of a rar archive or something.
Reached enchanting to 100 and got the extra effect perk. Mage character lvl 53, mainly destruction.
My question is, what do I pick as extra effect? I know fortify destruction 25% is the one (i.e. 25% x 4 = 100%) but what do I put for the second? Fortify restoration? Can I add a double one like fortify destruction with magika reg? This will increase fortify destruction beyond 100%?
Thanks

Today is a gift. That's why it's called the present.
Increasing it beyond 100% it's wasted, once you have reached 100% your Destruction skills cost 0 magika, as for Magika Regen or so, dunno depens on your play style, I have 1000k Magika @ lvl46, so Fortify Magika or Regen is kinda useless for me, using Destruction skills all time, summons but the cost is mostly equal with 0.
Imo see what's your style and see what second effect would work.

Are you saying that MKHDGame.exe might be the creation kit? And what does Alan wake have to do with this?

I believe I must pick another mage category like alteration/conjuration but this differs depending where you enchant each ability, i.e. fortify destruction is doable only in 4 of 6 places:
Ring - 25% Destruction + Fortify One-Handed
Amulet - 25% Destruction + Increase Magika
Head - Muffled + Fortify One-Handed
Chest - Arch-Mage + 25% Destruction (Arch-Mage gives me 25% also because of Black Soul Gem so it's 50% in one item, so already 100% with the other two items)
Cowl - Same as in Chest piece (Just noticed, so gotta redo the enchantment on this since I have 100% already)
Gauntlets - Sneaking 40% + Fortify One-Handed
Boots - Resist Fire + Frost
Using a mod to let me free enchant items with whatever enchant I want. Using One-Handed since I'm an Assassin and Thief so I need those, not that I couldn't kill them with Infernal but

Anybody else got problems with these "HD texture packs"? I tried version 1.2 and Skyrim was crashing every few minutes (back to desktop without any message). Few days ago version 1.3 came out and with version 1.3 installed Skyrim cant even be started. Its crashing when trying to load a savegame. After removing the texture packs everything was fine again.
Latest patch and 4gig awareness is installed.
Do I need a graphics card with more than 1 gig video ram to use these textures ?(my 6870 has only 1 gig). OS is old WinXP sp3 (I tried it with Windows Vista, too - its even worse, even more crashes) and 4 gig ram.

thx
Firstly, you don't need the 4gig awareness with the latest patch anymore, it's integrated.
Secondly it only works on 64-bit systems or on 32-bit systems if you add the /3gb switch to your boot.ini. So I say you need either a 64-bit os (recommended) or the /3gb switch.

Wow, never heard about this feature before - only adding something to boot.ini for performance increase...sounds almost too good to be true.
Thank you so much. I will try it at once when I am at home.
Will other games also benefit from this addition? maybe GTA4 ?
thx

It allows you to go over the 32-bit address limit of 2GB for applications that are x86 (Well everything is if you are using a 32-bit OS.) however while there shouldn't be any problems make sure you do have enough RAM to allow the 3 GB switch to function without cutting into the OS and reserved memory or running out entirely and operating on the pagefile or I'm not sure how it was but again it's fairly minor as long as you do have enough RAM.
(32-Bit OS itself should manage up to 3.5 GB with the rest going into reserve, 64-bit depends on the OS type but the limit is higher than that and the release version for Windows 7 / Vista is the full 128 GB which is more than enough outside of server environments to last a few years, I think 12 to 16 GB is the usual "high ram" values now on enthusiast PC's but the normal value is around 4 GB to 6 GB I believe, maybe up to 8 GB.)
EDIT: Again I'm not entirely sure on the specifics.
