I'm a huge Mafia movie fan as well as movies about heists.. And I just found another one last night I never saw with Johnny Depp and al pacino called "Donnie Brasco"

I've seen Heat, Donnie Brasco, Public Enemy, Goodfellas, Scarface, The Godfather, American Gangster (if you can consider it mafia like)

I've seen all the Sopranos and am watching Boardwalk Empire

Mafia movies:
"Miller's Crossing": http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0100150/
"Road to Perdition": http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0257044/
"Casino" (like Goodfellas, just better in every regard): http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112641/
Since you liked "The Godfarher", I strongly recommend you "Once upon a Time in America". Don't be fooled by the four hour length, it feels shorter than it is (like "The Godfather"): http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0087843/

Heist movies:
"The Bank Job": http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0200465/

For heist movies, there are obviously the Ocean's movies from recent years. Well...11 mostly, that was a good film. 12 was ok, I personally still enjoyed it, mostly for the setting. 13 was shit.

I'm probably one of the very few that like all three of them.. sure, I don't like them equally as much, but I enjoy all three nontheless. Has to be because I absolutely love the style and feel of them.

I just hated that there was no "so that's how they did it!" moment in 13. They plan it, execute it, done. In 11 it was masterfully done with backtracking after it was all over, and at least they tried to do something similar in 12 at the end (although that was more about tricking the guy instead of actually pulling off a big heist). Not so much in 13.

So many award winning actors in one movie, damn.

Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

Liked this one, despite not being the biggest fan of Statham. Definitely worth a watch, Spykez.

much of the films listed are not even heist movies, but plain robbery films
a heist is a more delicate affair
see topkapi, ocean's 11, any episode of leverage
nothing wrong with robberies, but it's not the same thing
lots of good films listed here

ocean's 11 - original 1960 version if you missed it - it's the same only in name
reservoir dogs
cubic aka. brainstorm - a scifi heist
inception Smile
man on a wire - documentary on stunt trespassing, which is essentially a reverse heist
Nick Knatterton cartoons Very Happy
