I saw this coming from the beginning as well and felt let down when i saw i got it right. Although didn't the girl Travis released say she heard someone else other than Travis?
Maybe Travis can do voices as well?

Yes, pretty much.
Any instance of a character supposedly seeing or interacting with Gellar was just misdirection. The girl they kidnapped said that there were two people because she heard Travis talking to Gellar, but Gellar wasn't actually there, he was just in Travis' mind. The same goes for last episode in the church. Travis looked up at the balcony and Dexter says "Gellar!", but he never actually sees him, he just assumed Gellar is there because Travis looked up.

One more thing, this last body was drained of blood. Dexter said something in the line of: Another play he took from my brothers playbook.
All this and his brother showing as the dark passenger, IT guy must have something to do with his brother. Admirer, son, boyfriend whatever.

The bit where the intern showed the Serial killer game to Dexter was so dumb. What was he expecting Dexter to say? "Yay I can play as the trinity killer and kill my wife again and again, looks like GOTY for me."
Not a very well thought out plot device imo.

if you watched the preview for next week you could see that they saved dexter from the open sea where he was the 'victim' for travis his last painting. So he doesnt need to explain anything.
