@Werelds: It's good, I can't get similar service here (in the Randstad!!!).

67. That's the internet, phone (with free calls to other Ziggo subscribers, which is almost everyone I know) and TV. TV is with all the HD channels as standard as well and a bunch of extra channels. Not bad, eh? |
120Mbit cable and €67, now it makes sense. Thinking about getting 3-1 as well from Tweak for €33 a month. 20Mbit but that's as much as I need

I'm so jelly...we have a 20Mbit too here, but it very very rarely reaches its ideal speed. Let's say it's basically a masked and more expensive 7Mbit

UPC has similar pricing I think?
Just keep in mind that I don't live in a big city, which is probably why KPN are such cunts and don't upgrade their shit here. Cable is perfect for me though, I always get the full 120/10 as well, rarely any disruptions. And when there is a problem, it only lasts for 5 minutes
I was on DSL until 5 years ago; 8/1 at the time. Had it because we've had Planet Internet as ISP since 1995 so everyone used that email address for me. Then KPN rang, asking if an upgrade to an all-in-one package sounded good. Sure, why not, right? According to them nothing would change, would still be Planet and keep the email and everything. Mechanic came, started off about HetNet instead of Planet; poor guy was on the phone for 2 hours getting us sorted out and they said it would be sorted within 2 weeks. And sort it they did, by completely disconnecting everything: no phone, no internet
Fuck KPN, never going back there, because according to them they couldn't reconnect it because it wasn't technically possible
Fiber's not happening here, that'll only happen for you in the Randstad. On the other side though, Ziggo considers this region one of its 6 test regions; we were the first to get 120 Mbit, long before it became their standard top speed and they're now looking at either going symmetrical (120/120) for 2012 or perhaps doubling it again to 240.
@ Rofl_Mao: I don't know where you live, but you may want to check how good the cable service is around you, or see if there's a fiber test going on. DSL is just shit, you pay far too much compared to cable and fiber in NL
Edit @ zipfero: over here the ISP's check whether there's enough people who want it in a municipality to make it worth it. That cuts the costs, it's typically between 150-250 to get connected

@werelds yeah its sort of the same here and huge building projects they usually put in fiber at the same time when they are happening and then sell it to the ISP's but the problem here is that our ISP's are fucking cheap skates and wont front any of the installation bill themselves.
8 out of 10 dentists prefer zipfero to competing brands(fraich3 and Mutantius)!
