The gentleman(in regards to women) is a thing of the past. It was an acknowledgement that women deserved special treatment since they were at the mercy of men, and thought of as weaker. To be a gentleman today is absurd. Women have equal rights and deserve no special treatment whatsoever. If a woman demands it, she's a hypocrite. If a man insists on it, he's being patronizing. That's the way I look at it anyway.

I'm very nice and helpful, but not exclusively to women. At the same time, if someone is being bitchy I don't care if it's a man or a woman, I'll tell them just what I think regardless. Unless it's a girl I want to get together with, of course. But that's completely unrelated.
