I use e+s+d+f as my movement keys, have done for a decade so im pretty used to it.

The problem i have with this in Skyrim is that i cant seem to change the (crappy) menu systems key-bindings from w+a+s+d, its a real pain to have different keys as moving keys vs menu keys.

Any file where i can change this?

same here but ive used the arrow keys for 15 years, people find it wierd, but youll find me top of the board in every online game i play Wink

i managed to change the keys fine, but tab remains the key to exit the menu and map etc instead of the key i changed it to.

also anyway to bind weapons to quick keys? the ui is a disgrace

Try hovering over the items image then scroll up with mouse wheel. Works for me

And another thing: The mouse buttons seem to be inverted. For instance, I have a spell in my left hand and a mace in the right one, and if I want to use the spell, I have to click the RMB and LMB to mace-strike. And I can't even re-map these two particular buttons in the controls menu.

Sooooo, I can't pick this up for another 9.5 hours (and I won't bother downloading the Razor version), and from what I've read on the last 5 pages:

1. It looks slightly better than Oblivion vanilla when it comes to textures.
2. Menu and Inventory are derped
3. The Game itself, once you've gotten into it (and past the technical niggles) is great

Sounds exactly like the release of Morrowind and Oblivion. Morrowind vanilla looks like "help me die"-ugly.

Seems like the strengths of the game wins over the issues after playing a while.

This game will be talked about in periods for a long time as mods will keep pop up. Unfortunately it will take quite a while for major mods to show up, but from what I've seen and read the game is completely playable and engrossing after the initial introduction to the game.

If you also hotkey a spell to a number key, double tapping that key will add it to both hands. Better I guess. I have mapped

1. Mace
2. Shield
3. Bow
4. Flame
5. Healing

Morrowind was developed for both PC and Xbox simultaneously and both versions, resolution aside, were pretty much the same.

not to be antagonistic, but i thought it was ugly as well, when it was released. And i thought it felt sterile and lifeless. I know this is a minority opinion, but it really felt like that to me. I guess it was, because the vast amount of text was just that, text. No speech. And the animations and characters looked ugly / stiff to me. The water looked good though =D

anyone care to explain to me, how I can change mouse sensitivity proper? No matter which skyrimprefs.ini I change it in - both actually), it's still horribly fast, since I disabled acceleration.

Same here, hard to get used to.. dunno if its a bug in Razor release.. perhaps? I'm still waiting to unlock my retail.

Yeah but it was actually developed for the PC rather than just ported over from the console version.
These days they don't even bother to remove mouse acceleration.
