I can explain why Ezio is important... the games in which he appears sold/sell a lot.

Shit. I guess I'll have to clear my calendar to beat it before Dec. 2012. Unless the PC versions gets delayed. DAMN!

Quote: | On Desmond’s role in Revelations: Through a series of uniquely surreal game play moments, players will have the chance to learn more about the previous 10 years of Desmond’s life – how he grew up on an Assassin compound, how he ran away from his parents, and how he found a job as a bartender in a major metropolis…
-On Desmond’s role in future games: Revelations is not the concluding chapter of the Assassins Creed franchise… it is only the end of Ezio and Altair’s stories. Desmond’s story will continue at some point, in some fashion. |

Whoops, my bad. I was under the impression that Desmond didn't know any of that Templar/Assassin's stuff until he was captured for the Animus in Part 1...

I'm so sick of Ezio and Altaire. I want AC3, not yet another Ezio-story. And I hope that part of where you play in the final game is all the way back to when it starts, ie. "eden", where you steal the apples and run away, as seen in the games flashbacks.

Who the hell would want to play as Desmond before AC1?

Me. His story before he was caught by the templars is mostly unknown, and it would be cool to see how modern assassins are trained.

I really don't like the character (Desmond is really boring compared to Altair) and I always thought the strongest part of the AC games were the accurate depictions of ye olde times.

For me the best part about AC is the story, especially the twists and turns when you are playing as Desmond.

I thought the story got a bit convoluted in Brotherhood, I hope they can make sense of it in Revelations.

Two different games. The first one, that's coming out this month, is Revelations. The third part is probably due out next year.

Are you sure, guys?
~edit~
Ah, never mind. I see Revelations is considered part of the "AC2 arc"

Yup. Brotherhood and Revelations were planned later, after the success of AC2 to make some more $$$. Initially AC was supposed to just be a trilogy.

Quote: | According to a report at Empire States Gamer, a reader was asked to take part in a market research survey, in which Ubisoft asked the question:
“Among the following propositions, in which of the following historical periods and locations would you like one of the next Assassin’s Creed games to take place?”
Here’s the list that followed:
The violent conflicts of the Imperial Dynasties in Medieval China.
The advent of the mighty British Empire during Victorian England.
The culmination of the Pharaoh Reign in Ancient Egypt.
The invasion of the Americas by the Spanish Conquistadors.
The confrontation between British colonists and native Americans during The American Revolution.
The overthrow of the Tsar Empire by the Communists during the Russian Revolution.
The Warlord Battles in Feudal Japan.
The rise of Caesar’s Empire in Ancient Rome. |
So perhaps the location is not yet set?

My pick would be the Victorian England, but the other locations would be great as well. Except for Rome, not again pl0x.
