You know, I do believe that's one of the only - uber rare - titles that has never been cracked. Outside of crazy military sims that require hardware dongles, I simply cannot think of any other game that hasn't been cracked yet.

The other one being Pro Cycling Manager 11 that still stays non-cracked to this day. Even though, it's only a half-a-year old game, not even a single attempt at releasing a crack has been made.

The # of console pirates just needs to pick up so they get all sorts of awful DRM too. Second hand sales are more of a concern to publishers than pirates when it comes to console

@dsergei Yet while it still took a long time for Starforce to be cracked, you could always run the games drive emulators and other such nastiness. These two? Nothing. At all. NO way of playing them outside of buying. @H_S Egh, fuck people like that

What kind of protection did they used with HAWX 2? Even Ubisoft didn't turned back to that protection, I'm guessing it was something really bad. I mean, worst than what Ubisoft usually does when it comes to protection

It was an always-online, heavily server-based authentication system. The game had to be attested everytime it was fired up and there was also a constant exchange between the client and server machines in the form of codes that unlocked different triggers across the whole software. It was a REAL mess to deal with on the crackers' side.

they probably are rewriting very line of code as we speak (1911 probably) and in 2 years they will release it lol (like 4 years to strip every last instance of the "DRM" code haha. sure hope it sold like crap @ hawx 2, just to teach them a lesson
