Treta: Please be informed that it is region specific.
Me: So he cannot play in English?
Treta: So if he has purchased the game in Russian,he will not be able to play the game in English.
Treta: Yes.
Me: Cannot download English files?
Treta: I am sorry.
Treta: No.

there is also no law that forbids me to buy a game in russia Smile last i checked, switzerland didnt have a trade embargo on russia ^^

If EA doesn't want you using cheap keys, they'll revoke or block them, or just keep the game locked to Ruskie and then ban you - as per their EULA - if you add/modify the game files. Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending EA -- I think the company is scummy, just like Activision, but they're within their right to stop people cheating them by purchasing titles from developing/3rd world countries and cheating EA out of money in the process. These Eastern European keys are cheaper for a reason.. and companies like EA/Activision specifically don't want people buying them outside of their respective territories.

This has happened in the past, so it's not us being "paranoid" or acting like "headless chickens"

i dunno, where i live, downloading warez is legal, using warez is legal, removing copyprotections is legal. So i wouldnt know ^^

Just dont make too much of a panic about this, like i said, EA Games are always multi anyway. Just everybody stay calm ^^

Honestly, I wasn't trying to. It was meant to be a joke about EA's heavy-handed tactics dealing with gamers getting cheap keys... but it pulled off this huge discussion instead Very Happy

It's not in Euros for me either (NOK) but that's not the point. It's still €60 for non-"developing" countries (Laughing) Incidentally; 449kr for me on Origin, which works out at €58.
