Well, since I'm not the richest (who really is here huh? Very Happy ) I won't have a fuckload of money to invest. My current plan is to get this setup complete at the end of December.
I just wanted to get some suggestions. Obviously to safe some money.
(And no, no ATI/AMD stuff on my watch Laughing )

So for the end of October I'll gonna have 350€ and made some notes.

1x
CPU Sockel 1155
Intel® Core™ i5-2500K
FC-LGA4, "Sandy Bridge"
€ 192,90*

1x
Mainboards Sockel 1155
ASRock Fatal1ty P67 Performance
Sound, G-LAN, SATA3, USB 3.0, eSATA
€ 114,90*

G.Skill DIMM 8 GB DDR3-1333 Kit
F3-10666CL9D-8GBRL, Ripjaws-Series
€ 37,99*

-----------------------------------------

End of November:

1x
Gainward GeForce GTX 560 PHANTOM
€ 179,90*

-----------------------------------------

End of December:

1x
Zalman CNPS10X Extreme
€ 49,99*

1x
Samsung HD103SJ 1 TB
€ 49,99*

-------------------------------------------

Any suggestions? Or should I be good for stuff like BF3 etc. (Yes, serious, I'm not that into hardware anymore since the Multi-Core age)

Although I think it's already Ti now.

If at 180 that is the non-Ti version it's a rip-off. The non-Ti version is crap Smile

Really? Looks quite good to me since that's one of the more decent GTX-560. TI version got 48 more shaders but also comes with a +60-80€ pricing for a "decent one".
Sure, if I could get a good 560-TI for the same amount I would grab it.

(Picture shows stock versions and not the one I posted)

Maybe you could elaborate more why it's supposed to be crap cause I don't see why it should be worth the extra money for this small amount of extra shaders.

Any suggestion which one I should grab instead?

*EDIT*

How about these cards then?

GIGABYTE GV-N560OC-1GI
€ 197,90*

or

MSI N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II/OC
€ 209,90*

That's more like it, they're both Ti. The MSI one probably cools a few degrees better, but nothing shocking.

As to why it's shit exactly? Those "few" extra shaders amount to a good 40% extra performance in heavier games (which would be Crysis, BF3, Stalker, etcetera - they're all shader-bound games). The non-Ti is basically a GTX 460. 20 EUR is a small price for that difference; 560 = 460, 560 Ti = 470 (and 570 = 480) in terms of performance. Non-Ti version at 180 is just too expensive, should be 160 tops (it is 150 here in fact).

Wait, 12.5% more shaders equals 40% extra performance? How is that magic done? Wink

Because it's not just shader count; a whole SM is disabled, which means it also loses 8 TMUs. At least, that's if my memory serves me right, can't be bothered to fetch the GF114 sheets again
It's the same thing with a GTX 480 versus 580 - it's the same architecture, with one extra SM enabled, yet the performance difference is quite a lot more than that. Granted, in that particular case there are other factors at play, but shader count means absolutely nothing on its own Smile

just finished today to build kind of similar system:

i5 2500k
at the end i went with expensive mobo but i like this mobo alot, it is the intel dp67bg.
also went with 4x2 giga g.skill sniper 1600mhz.
and i already bought 3 weeks ago gigabyte 560 ti and psu as Antec High Current Gamer 620w

i picked all this parts after i checked some benchmarks and review's, not the cheapest, but also not expensive and very nice and strong machine.

by telling you this, i may not solve your dilemma, but at times like this when you are looking for upgrades, every opnion and impression may help.
