You can either pay via CC online (some even take PayPal) -- or you can buy timecards. Prepaid redeemable codes that give you 30/60/90 days of play, usually bought over the counter in game stores.

I suppose this is a welcome replacement for all those that have grown sick of WoW but want the same kind of opportunistic game play mechanisms that hooked the WoW addicts to the game.

Actually I'm gonna play it just for the story and star wars universe. I couldn't care less that it has WoW mechanics.
I haven't enjoyed the mechanics in Mass Effect 2 either yet I did enjoy the story and the characters greatly and that's the reason I played it.

ME2 mechanics were awful indeed, I practically had to force myself to play the game till the end. By the looks of it no. 3 will be better, but will it reach the heights of me1? I don't know.

i think bioware got the message when DA2 ate the dirt, DA3 is going back to more rpg style, and seems ME3 is too. a good example of 2 IP's completely ruined by the whole "mainstream" approach, but they payed big for it this time, maybe not as much with ME2, but DA2 sales really got hurt by it

I'm looking forward to levelling and raiding, but more than anything else I'm hoping the PvP is quality.
When they nefred the lower level twinks in WoW i stopped playing the game. I used to love collecting the items and twinking the characters. I honestly wasn't that bothered about having high level twinks for PvP as it required a lot more time to maintain the best gear, as with the lower levels the gear rarely changed and it was possible to just dip in and out of the game.

Ok, this game officially rocks... swordplay looks damned awesome! Guns.... Meh, I don't like bullets that never miss and always follow the target... but at least you can hide behind walls!

Are you sure? The just announced co-op in ME3. Not sure what it's all about, but I think we can expect more of a ordinary GOW-fps with even less RPG-elements...
I hope DA3 will be better though...more rpg. I mean, I accepted that ME was more of action and thought they would keep DA more rpg, until I played DA2...

You get the lightsaber at lvl 8-10 ish. Companions comes later

Did you play with other people? Cause it'll say your name if you greed/need/pass on items.
