last time you guys helped me alot picking my gtx560 ti but looks like my dual core is the bottleneck and time for me to move to new machine, so i alreay decided i5 2500k but now i am not sure what motherboard to take.

i want something more advanced no need sli cause i am not going to use 2 crads but i may overclock the system:) price around 150$

i use to walk with intel cause i think it is good to match intell cpu with intell mb , after all , i guess they know what's best for they're cpu's lol

what do you think of this two?
intel DH67BL
intel DP67BG
guru3d made a review on i5 and i7 using this boards:

also, whice memory (ram) company do you think is trustable to go with?
used to go with kingston.

I am looking at the Gigabyte's Z68X-UD3/UD3P as a possible purchase for myself. The UD3 should be within your budget. Not sure about the UD3P.

I never bothered with RAM manufacturers myself. Just got some generic Apacer ones. One failed on me from the start, got it replaced in a couple of minutes at the local retailer, so I wasn't too concerned about making a wrong choice.
This time I am going with G.Skill most likely. Apparently their stuff is very reliable Smile

i was lookin for the ASUS P8P67 but after newegg's feedback of DOA boards or malfunctioning (cold boot, many reboots, infinite loops, neverloading) i decided to wait incase ASUS or some other company (Gigabyte?) releases a Ivy Bridge board without fails...else my MB will never be upgraded grinhurt ¬¬

i dont want to sound annoying about this (since in other threads i said all this from before),but just lettin people to know the consequences

PS: For now, that GIGABYTE mindermast mentioned,Z68X-UD3/UD3P,has positive stuff on newegg...but let's wait some time...

@ DV2 , but...i can't wait:(

i must finish with this pc upgrade in few days, after that i will be too busy:/
the Z68X-UD3/UD3P seems to be good overclockers, they got overhited, but give good preformance.

there are also good words about the Asus P8Z68-V PRO.

dunno what to do, thats why i posted here:)

Don't read into fucking Newegg's "failure rates". Really think that's representative of how many DON'T have issues? ;\

All manufacturers have DOAs. All of them have bugs and issues. Shit happens. If any of them really had any hardcore recurring issues, you would've seen it posted on all the major tech sites by now.

That Asus board is another one on my list. The choice for me is pretty much between the UD3P and the Asus Pro board. Asus one is a bit more pricey though.. UD4 might be in the same price range on the Gigabyte side.

Personally, I am leaning towards the Asus board, but I doubt you can go wrong with either one.

Draaaaaaaaamaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

*cough*

Was reading up on Ivy Bridge compatibility yesterday. Apparently at least some of the Asus H67/P67/Z68s are future compatible with Ivy Bridge... Hang on. Here we go:

http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?p=20223646

I hope they are. Just found a P8P67 Evo for under £100, and snapped it up ready for an i5 upgrade in the near future. Very Happy
