I bought new RAM yesterday Mushkin 3x2GB DDR3 PC3-12800 7-9-7-24 Radioactive.

My rig is OCed to 3.1GHz. Now i want to know if i should reset my BIOS to default values before installing new RAM ?

Intel Core i7 920@3GHz
Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5
OCZ DDR3 3×1GB PC3-12800 gold edition

Can anyone give me a tip about it ? Thing is, i bought my rig OCed, so im not very familiar with that.

Why did you buy new ram?

If it's going alongside existing ram then just leave it set as is, though it's not really a good idea to mix ram like that.
If you are replacing the ram then you will need to change the settings in bios to get the best out of your new ram.
1600 is fairly easy if you have a bclk of 160 and ram set to 1604.
vcore about 1.2~ and obviously whatever voltage of the ram upto 1.65.

Thank you for your reply!

Well i bought it because i saw games now days have 4GB stated as recommended and its cheap atm so. You don't think ill see any difference ?
Also i will not keep RAM i have now so i dont have to deal with stability issues.

And thanks for OC tips. I will install new RAm over the weekend so then ill maybe have some more questions about OCing my proc. Im aiming again at 3.0 or 3.2 GHz.
