Airline Tycoon 2 is the next installment in the acclaimed business management series - Airline Tycoon. The game sees the player take the reins of an airline which they must bring to financial success. As well as managing staff, buying new aircraft and opening up new air routes, players must deal with crabby passengers and engage in corporate espionage against their competitors.

"We are very pleased that the excellent B-Alive team is our development partner for Airline Tycoon II," said Stefan Marcinek, Global Managing Director of Kalypso Media Group. "This allows Realmforge to address our expanding multiplatform development needs.”

B-Alive, who previously worked on titles including the popular Wildlife Park series, is taking over development, originally handled by Kalypso's internal studio - Realmforge.

Release Date: Q4 2011

Would of much preferred no bobble heads and more serious looking graphics for a airport sim.It looks like play-doh. Rolling Eyes

I recall airport tycoon 1 was quite nice game... Though it might have actually been some different game. There was 2-3 of these airport management games out at the same time.

But if I can remember right, the nice one was airport tycoon.

Indeed, AT1's style was very over-the-top as well, with cartoonish and bizarre characters, it looks like the sequel hasn't changed much Razz

Me too and it cost like 30.000,- norwegian kroners in 1994. It was awesome! I had just bought an Amiga 1200 with a 120mb HD 18 months earlier. Then a buddy showed me DOOM. I was thoroughly dissapointed with my Amiga and decided to get a PC instead.

IRQ's and low-memory tweaking... those were the days. Oh and X-com and all the brilliant Lucasarts games. I have to stop now or I'm gonna start crying.
