Took me bloody long enough, eh? My wife is just awesome! We were out shopping in town today, went to buy her a new laptop to replace her ageing Athlon M320 and, as she paid, she handed me 7000kr and said "Get some new PC bits"
Time to go shopping!! Here's what I've chosen so far, I'd like to get some second opinions. Just remember; Scandinavian prices are considerably higher than elsewhere.. and it HAS to be from Norway, otherwise I'll get hit by massive import duties. So ideally, something from Datakjeden, Komplett or something else that I don't know about
Sadly not enough left for a HDD (I originally had plans to get one or two 2.5TB drives, but now I barely have enough for another 1TB one) but that's my build so far. With that, I would be ecstatically happy.. though if anyone can recommend something better for the price .. and available in Datakjeden/Komplett/etc, please do! Thanks guys! <3

In all seriousness, I wish I could afford an entirely new rig right now. And if I could, I would probably go for something along these lines, the only difference being an Nvidia card, and overly excessive water-cooling. But, alas, the whoring business just isn't what it used to be here in the states...

To be perfectly honest mate, I usually wouldn't go near Corsair RAM. Overpriced, underpowered, rubbish. Sadly it's the best option from Datakjeden since they don't sell G.Skill As for you wanting a new rig? Waaaaa? Dude! i7-4.6Ghz, 12GB and a pair of GTX580s?
I was considering it, but it's not THAT cheaper. 100-120kr tops. Not worth worrying over for the sake of a bit of future-proofing. I'm just building a new list from Komplett and it looks like Komplett is significantly cheaper than Datakjeden on some items, yet much more expensive on others. The i5, for example, is 200kr cheaper - but the GPU is 250kr more

I would just like to get a Sandbridge CPU, and new mobo, the RAM would need to be changed as well. The GPUs and current water-cooling rig would stay. As for G.Skill, I've heard mixed things about them, but I've never had a bad experience with their RAM (my MAME cab uses 2GB of G.Skill). I've always personally been a fan of Corsair, and I've never paid more for their RAM than any other high-end RAM. But, I'm here in the states and that, sadly, makes a huge difference. Of course, I also remember paying over $300USD for a 256MB stick way back when. That and I bought a 5.7GB Maxtor HDD for around the same price a week before. Ah, the good old days, when I would eat Ramen for six months just to buy a new HDD.

That reminds me, I need to fix my damn sig...It turned the OC spec into an email address.

Yeah, EVGA is way better! Their support is astounding!
And, now that's better. You're going elite, sabin.
It's the resolution that tipped him to the NVIDIA, he only does 1680x1050 and the 6970 considers that to be unworthy of its power and lets the 570 take the lead
Seriously though, good to finally see Sabin upgrading. Also means I won't have to send my 6950 to Norway when the next generation comes out, can send it to Italy instead

That's all I use for Mobo's and GPU's! I actually just had a GTX295 die on me last week. The warranty sticker had come off some time ago, but they still got me another one super quick. And I hadn't even bought the advanced replacement coverage.
Awesome product + Awesome warranty (most, if not all, of their products, come with a lifetime warranty) + Awesome support + true enthusiast support + pretty decent forums = Happy DoobZilla! (that and )

Done and done, all bits ordered and should be here soon.. hopefully tomorrow or the next day, since I paid for express delivery. Everything you see in that image up there =) Now all I need to do is get another HDD and then upgrade this old monitor.
