Has anyone found a solution to get the Checkpoints to save? I tried everything ALI213, Skidrow, changing appid's, all the stuff on CS-RIN-RU... can't seem to get the save points to work. I can see the game blows chunks compared to the first two, but I'd like to give it whirl anyway. And why hasn't this been Nuked yet?.... Rolling Eyes

I didnt had any problem with the checkpoints, using the ali213 "clone" with the skidrow crack.
Dont know whats wrong with your game, but you dont need to change anything afaik.

I'm far from the only one having this problem, there are quite a few people even in this thread...and in RLSLOG. I'll try your combo and see what happens.

found this:
The game save are in the form of chapters.
Come chapter - the game is saved.
Re-enter the game, the game is started with the last chapter.
Checkpoints are saved only in-game (in case of death for example)

Where did you find that? I read a shitload of reviews and I would have thought someone would have mentioned something as stupid as that. If this is the case, then this game sucks more balls than I thought.... Evil or Very Mad

That's Skidrow release only (aka, it's fucked), 360 version saves checkpoints normally and you can continue just fine after restarting the game.

I don't necessarily agree with everything I say.

Oh, I was talking about checkpoints after dying (those are working fine), didnt tried to load a checkpoint after restarting the game so I dont know.
Chapters arent that long tho, you can keep playing until you finish one or just leave the game paused

Maybe because the game is too short to notice for many or that the game is garbage anyway.

And finished, story was pretty basic but the shooting worked out pretty well, starts out rather slow and some sections like the driving parts can be frustrating but I found the last chapters really fun although the game as such would probably score a average result, nice selection of weapons albeit to be honest it basically comes down to pistols (Revolver or non-revolver.) SMG and riflse (With two sniper type rifles available.) plus the occasional heavier "rifle" like the LAW and M60 or PKM.

That co-op thing has been mentioned already so there's not much to say there, Chrome engine has it's flaws but I think it holds up quite OK though you can see these larger levels are rather sparsely detailed and suffer from the same low view distance and over aggressive LOD culling.

Voice acting and animations are also somewhat poor with heavy clipping, low polygon models and some rough textures are also present but it works out OK if a bit generic, game is fairly close to co-op titles like Kane and Lynch (Though more it's sequel with that sort of stuff.) although it's not so MP focused as Left 4 Dead or what else to best compare to.

Supports DX11 even as a byproduct of being Chrome Engine 5 though it doesn't really do anything as far as I am aware other than perhaps a bit of a performance boost. Razz

Not much else to say, this is more of a general observation of the game than a full review, most people will likely dislike the game and it does have a number of flaws but it works somewhat as a basic shooter (Though also heavily reliant on cover and regenerating health mechanics.) though I imagine it's best during smaller MP co-op sessions.

Has fifteen fairly big levels in terms of total size and such but they're not that long in terms of playtime so the total of around 8 - 10 hours was pretty accurate.
(Harder difficulties might increase this but in my experience it mainly had you get damaged more and increased AI accuracy and somehow their RoF, seeing a hail of bullets blasting at your direction and finally dropping the guy and finding he - all enemies are male and mostly gang related with few exceptions - had nothing but a basic slow firing revolver feels rather odd.)

Various bugs and glitches, SCAR-L type FX-5 rifle lacks a proper world model texture and the text does not always match the audio (Actually not one of the longer speeches matched the text exactly, there were always small variations and changes.)

Different characters and their agendas might be interesting but also boils down to whether one prefers close range shotgun/pistol combat and certain larger weapons, long range sniping and rifle weapons or something in-between via SMG's.

Nice that Techland has a bit of a attitude though the shock value and similar feels a bit forced at times. Very Happy

And again that's pretty much all there is that I can say about the game. Razz

Yeah there's quite a list of games coming out now until January or so, ha ha. Smile
(After all I think the game isn't all that bad but it is very average and somewhat generic for a FPS plus it kinda messes with the whole previous Juarez setting.)

Also I wonder what happened to Warhound and Chrome 2, there's both in-game and file format info around both of these in these two Chrome Engine 5 games.
(I guess Warhound is sort of cancelled, no idea about Chrome but maybe one year we'll see something, Dead Island had it's first screens released in 2005 though this current game only took shape during 2007 - 2008, before then it seemed to be more like a zombie FPS.)

i've finally beaten this semi-fun game going through 15 chapters after about 9h playing as the fbi kimberly evans chick. Cool

the lack of gore/limb severing is a bit disappointing considering it's from the same developer as dead island and uses the same engine. you shoot someone in the head and no gibbin' occurs, making each kill satisfaction lesser and lesser. Rolling Eyes

xb360 pad support is perfect including onscreen button display. Smile

the graphic is surprisingly bland. even at 2560x1600, it just seems unpolished. wtf is up with the pixelated text in the game and in the menu? texture drop outs and annoying re-spawning in some spots just kills immersion. Crying or Very sad

multi-player crap like having to exit a 'lobby' before allowed to play just pisses me off. i don't care about multi-player when i'm playing the campaign! so don't shove it down my throat. Mad

also, your ai teammates are a bunch of dumb idiots. in more than one occasion, i end up waiting for the pukes to find their way to the door so we can do 'slow mo door smash shoot em up.' btw, the 'slow mo door smash shoot em up' gets tedious and kills pacing after the 4th time you have to do it. Twisted Evil

the ending is a bit on the bland side. i didn't complete enough of the side missions to pick the option to fight my teammates. oh, well. i might consider re-playing as one of the other two sausage characters when i'm bored and finished other games. Razz

Wait, wait... 8-10 hours of gameplay ? How come I finished this in 5,5 hours then ? It was ridiculously short (too bad the game itself sucked balls).
