a.) As far as I can tell the map is pretty massive, i've not explored that much of it myself and yet I feel that i've travelled quite a bit. I know that you can travel to the deserts, which are far beyond the newbie area, so the answer is probably yes, it's all accessible.
b.)Well you have to consider what build you're going for. What would your secondary choice be with each of those classes?

It must be just you! Really, in PVP elementalists are limited by their energy pool, so their offensive potential sort of ebbs away if a fight lasts any length of time.
Necromancer summons are currently useless, but their blood magic is highly effective, allowing them to stay in battle far longer then expected. I've seen some blood magic specialists manage to pull a win out their asses against suprising odds.

Well, I've gotten bored of the game 
After you finish the campaign, there really isn't much to it but PvP, but alas there are several problems with this:
1) Random team PvP is a joke. Ever play on a team composed of 2 rangers and 2 necros? You don't stand a chance in hell, well, against anything at all
2) Tomb of Primeval Kings is nice....but it gets old, fast. Same 6 maps over and over and over.
90% of the fights either you get raped within a few minutes, or you rape the opposing team within a few minutes. Very few rounds are close calls/heartpounding. There's a great team, and a shitty team, not really an inbetween.
3) No motivation to progress further. I've held tombs ~30 times. So what? My rank is 1050, and I get a wolf emote instead of a deer. Wow..thats really nice
I've made quite a pretty penny from all those sigil drops (170,000 gp), but what the hell is there to do with it? The answer, absolutley nothing.
The 15k armor sets look the same/WORSE than the 1.5k sets. There are no weapons with special effects (aside from the dragon swords, which everyone has).
The main problem is: Once you've hit the short level cap and held tombs a few times, you've seen it all.
Not to say it wasn't fun getting there, but once you have, thats it. Nothing more to see.
All that being said, anyone interested in Zasben The Tainteds bankroll/account?
Have you guys gotten your cape/guildhall yet?

It's the GvG. Being the best. The GvG battles are very nice. I haven't played them myself, but I've heard stories. Besides it's not named Guildwars for nothing.
They are also releasing Exp Packs every 6-9 months giving a wide amount of new content (apparently).
If the lack of content is really that bad, you should start a thread on the GWonline.net forums and if enough people also see this as a problem, then you might see a change. I've found Arena.net accaulty listens to it's fans, but that might have just been during the betas.

I'm lvl 20 myself, and you will keep doing missions until you are about 16/17/18 (depending on what quests you do) and then you come to Ascesion where you have to complete 3 pretty tricky PvE missions, then you have to verse your mirror self (pretty hard). After you have Ascended, you arrive at another PvE mission and the Tomb of the Prime-evil Kings (PvP, more in a sec). You continue on until you reach the next town (Drakforge, with another PvP arena) and there is even more PvE, in the search of your final skills (not neccesary, but always good  .
Then theres the PvP. Arenas (as far as I know) are only for casual playing i.e. no reward?. In the Tombs you fight in a tourney styled set of matches and progress to the Hall of Heroes (HoH) and hold it for as many rounds as you can. Somewhere in that process you win a sigil (for guild halls) but I personally haven't gotten far in the Tombs yet. You also get fame for fights and when you hold the HoH you open up PvE areas for the rest of your nation (America/Europe/Korea).
Then you join a guild, get a guild hall and fight in GvG to be the best of the best.
Also like dryan said you can go into Fissure/Underworld for 1k? after someone from your nation is holding the HoH.
Have I missed anything?

They're the most challenging PvE areas in the game and you do get pretty good drops there too.

I still have this mandalurien something from one of the very first quests. Problem is that every new pet you get starts at lvl 5 so far. I was thinking about getting a lynx, but i didnt want to lvl it up again, my pet currently has lvl 16.
