again would need to know what the game is doing, if its std fps shit then i would try 75, you only really need it higher in that situation when playing in small map enclosed areas. but DI is mainly open play so..... try 75..

If you find its fubard up and fish eyed for you're taste try 59.. then go up to 90 and not over and see the overal difference of the test you just did.. You can btw just go with your own feeling of what suits you, so try you're luck with the numbers.

90 fov is like 120 degrees viewing or there abouts.

So, anyone got their keys from one of the key selling sites?
Intkeys apparently still don't have them, and in the support chat they keep telling for the last few days, that tomorrow they get them..

The game is simply outstanding. Worth every penny as long as you patch it BEFORE playing

So I don't know if this is the stuttering everyone's talking about, but with the patch whenever I stay put the mouse look is smooth, but when I start moving it turns into this microstuttering, like the game was running at a lower framerate.

Sabin whats exactly wrong with the first reloaded version ? I know you can get into fly mode with y and for some people it crash or hang up sometimes but apart from that ? Im asking cause i played few hours with it and had practically no problems(special attack not crashing game) but dont know what might happen further in the game so im a little bit afraid of playing and then getting stuck forcing me to start game from beginning

Nothing at all, to be perfectly honest, but that didn't stop Techland panicking and putting out a massively damaging patch .... a patch which wipes save games once installed. That's why I say patch before playing, so that way you don't lose progress down the line when a patch comes out that IS useful and SHOULD be applied.

Spot on. EASILY one of (the? Damn near..) best games this year and the very best zombie game released so far. Dead State sounds like it may beat it.... but we'll just have to wait and see.

Fucking hell.. this game might just have the most satisfying melee combat I've ever played when you actually get good at analog combat.

It's fucking awesome when an infested comes running at you and you line up a perfect slice and cut its head off with one attack.

So you think that every new patch wont be compatible with 1.0 savegames ? That something useful that should be applied is making me worry cause as I said I have no problems with 1.0 and dont know what this future patches might change or fix

Given TL's first patch; yes, I'm absolutely certain that each new patch will be the same - incompatible with saves made on the "dev" 1.0 build we got (and RLD put out)

no need to apply patch here. But that's sure working into the video.scr helps a lot. For example no 120Hz as refresh rate, only 100Hz, so you have to set it manually.
Anyway, indeed this game is very nice, next week-end will go buy it.

you dont mean the rld's release do you sabin? because that was or mine was not a dev build, you can tell the dev build version installed by the pb files mixed among the std dll's in the install directory Razz you should only have dll files in the install route.. anything else . file wise other than dll or txt and exe would seem to be dev build Smile

why are people asking for a hex editor btw..

@Sertorius

Please read what I wrote >_< I didn't say you NEED to apply the patch, I said you SHOULD because otherwise your saves will be wiped whenever a new patch comes out that ends up being necessary.

Yes I do and yes it was. The 1.0 version from RLD *is* the dev build Wink As for the hex editor? So they can hex-edit the 1.1.0 files to allow modding the FOV Very Happy

the scr file for motion blur and so forth as well? just export it out from winrar change the file type open in notepad change file type back and import back into winrar directory... Id assume that should suffice from what it looks like inside those files.
