|
 |
For about a week I am trying to buy retail Augmented Edition with art-book and all bonuses at local grocery store. Usually such editions are available for sale days before sales date but still no Deus Ex
To live down a disappointment, on every such visit I bought myself a bottle of wine Today was the day then the total I spent on wine exceeded the cost of Augmented Edition
While enjoyed near half of the bottle, I finally snapped and ordered Augmented Edition via online shop and now will have to pay shipping cost of ≈$12
Hope you enjoyed my little but still very tragic story

I almost always go for Carménère or Syrah / Shiraz red wines from Chile at ≈$12 per 0,75 liter bottle. During that week I bought 3 bottles.
But with Greek salad and on special occasions I prefer Chianti wine, at my local grocery store it's for sale starting at ≈$20
EDIT:
At the moment my favorite Chile wine is Casillero del Diablo

Moscato is good, it has a very sweet taste. Here we usually drink it with dessert but it's perfect with everything

It depends on the grapes that have been used: Vin Santo, Straw wine ("Passito"), Moscato, Aleatico are all sweet wines

The wine in my post is a dry wine, no sweetness in there

@Inz & ixigia: Mine are too, after diving deeper and deeper in single malt whisky land, I can't stand it anymore even with with boiled potatoes and green onion
Now it is
- Beer: Stouts, ales, bitters, porters ala no lager beer.
- Whisky: Single Malts at least 12 years old.
- Wine: Dry wines, mostly Chilean.

Is that in US dollars? 'Cause if it is, the casillero (I like it too) is cheaper in your country than in mine (which is kind of outrageous considering the distance). Taxes I guess... My favorites are also Carmenere, Syrah and Malbec (I think this one is only made in Argentina, has a very strong and unique taste).
In Argentina these wines cost like five bucks...

It's all good - as long as those are separate and not mixed. |

Wine
You should have bought a bottle of Chivas Regal, had a sip and break the glass with your fist.

Chivas Regal 12-18-26 etc. are smooth, easy to drink but doesn't really put any hair on your chest. And since it's blended it usually lacks a certain amount of character that you get from single malt scotch using water from their own spring etc.

Wine tastes like toilet paper dipped in lemon.
Yes, yes I'm back.
Somewhat.

@Invasor: Yep, that is in US dollars for today. Casillero price tend to fluctuate in 300 - 400 RUB range.
@kumkss: Would try Misiones de Rengo if I happen to see it at the store. At online shops, it sells in the same price range as Casillero.
@Frant & iNatan: I haven't tried that many blended whiskies, but Jameson 12 years was the best. In heavy peated and smoked category I only tried Lagavulin 16 year old and it's awesome
