She said the cloud started to break apart a bit, and in the middle of it was a tannish-gray
large metallic object. She could not tell the shape due to the cloud, but she recalled seeing "windows" on it. She aked her bf if he just saw that too, and he did. Then it vanished into thin air. I asked her if there was time missing, and she couldnt say for sure except that
she should have been scared shitless, but wasnt right after. Like her emotions had been "reset".
How strange.
A nice thought experiment, imagine a second from now, a time traveller dropped into your room, he would take you on a wild adventure across time and space, only to leave you back at the exact second after you originally left and erase your memory.
So you can have experienced a lot of wild stuff, without knowing it or having any recollection of it.
Boggles the mind.... a tree falls in the forrest but theres noone around to hear it fall, does it make a sound? does it fall?
I have a possible explanation, now after thinking a bit. A military cargo helecopter very near the ground, kicking up a dust cloud, then leaving in the opposite direction, hiding its exit.

I have seen something similar smooth dark grey disk shaped flat about a dozen square lights
or windows noiseless.
How come with all the high technology and telephones having 5MPix cameras, we always have some blurry pictures or no pictures at all of UFOs.. But when a human does something stupid, but really funny, there's always 2-3 different angles of HD video..

It's because the aliens have more advanced technologies that make lots of the footage blurry and/or grainy.
She and him both are adament about this. Not dust, a cloud. Right in front of them, and no sound at all. Im a pics or it didnt happen guy myself, but my mom is not just gunna make this shit up. I asked her again why she wasnt freaking out, cause she gets worked up over little shit anyways. She says she just dont know.
Sorry, but that's eye-witness testimony, that is notoriously unreliable, not to mention our colorful imagination and as time goes on, we add more and more to our stories since memories fade fast (believe it or not, having a partner in it helps in this little self-deceiving exercise).
I had similar experiences of group-self-deception. When I was a kid and was at a school camp with my friends, one night we saw something bright in the sky. As time went on, we started adding more and more outlandish stuff to our story. What started out as what now I can only describe as a really bright meteor (especially after seeing some as an adult), became a spaceship with distinct features and forms.
I also saw very localized patches of fog before, practically making a wall of fog on the road. After that, all it takes is seeing something remotely unusual and our imagination fills in the rest and after a while, it will be just as convincing as the real thing.
If we, humans can make huge things remain hidden (stealth bombers and whatnot) then an extraterrestrial civilization capable of interstellar travel should be more than capable of staying unnoticed. Unless they are like the aliens in H2G2 and they are just fucking with us for the lulz, these experiences are more likely self-deceptions rather than genuine encounters.
