Yes. You are better off getting the BC2 MP if you don't already own it.

Seems that shit about the game running on dual GTX 595's was bullshit, NVIDIA claim it was two ordinary GTX 580's

Battlefield 3 PC game server info
Battlefield games on PC have always had a strong dedicated server support, where anyone could rent and operate their own server. And much like the Battlefield games before it, Battlefield 3 will support both ranked and unranked servers, as DICE’s Mikael Kalms notes in a recent EA forum post. If you’re interested in renting your own BF3 server, here are a few bits of info, according to Kalms:
There will be both ranked and unranked servers.
Ranked servers offer some freedom to server owners/admins to set the map, game type etc. Ranked servers will track player progression EAs master servers, much like in past Battlefield games.
Unranked servers give the server owner/admin more freedom to select which weapons are available to players etc. The unranked server option is suited for tournaments because everyone has a level playing field (no ranks/unlocks).
You cannot rank up or unlock new weapons on unranked servers.
Ranked servers will be provided by select Ranked Server Providers (RSPs). The official list has yet to be released.
Pricing is likely to be higher than Bad Company 2 server due to Battlefield 3 requiring “considerable more CPU power per player than Bad Company 2″.
PunkBuster will be the anti-cheat system for Battlefield 3.
Third party anti-cheat organizations like PBBans will be available, it’s up to the server owner if he wants to use them.
Players won’t be able to create their own servers running on their own machines.
No news yet on Battlerecorder or spectator mode.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

Oh, so we can still create unranked and host them on our own? I must have misunderstood something becuause if that is the case it's great.

Something like that, I think you just enable it since it might already be there...
Just add the key and you can switch to Vietnam in-game.
Also, it's pretty fun but has WAY less players than regular BC2.

You unlock it, I believe you don't even have to download anything. But from what I've heard there are not many good Vietnam servers online.

Yesterday a reader on The Escapist started a worldwide Origin panic (yeah, I'm being a little dramatic to set the stage!), when they noted that the EULA for EA's Origin service states that the end-user consents to the collection and use of data beyond what a normal EULA might make you agree to.
You agree that EA may collect, use, store and transmit technical and related information that identifies your computer (including the Internet Protocol Address), operating system, Application usage (including but not limited to successful installation and/or removal), software, software usage and peripheral hardware, that may be gathered periodically to facilitate the provision of software updates, dynamically served content, product support and other services to you, including online services. EA may also use this information combined with personal information for marketing purposes and to improve our products and services. We may also share that data with our third party service providers in a form that does not personally identify you. IF YOU DO NOT WANT EA TO COLLECT, USE, STORE, TRANSMIT OR DISPLAY THE DATA DESCRIBED IN THIS SECTION, PLEASE DO NOT INSTALL OR USE THE APPLICATION. This and all other data provided to EA and/or collected by EA in connection with your installation and use of this Application is collected, used, stored and transmitted in accordance with EA's Privacy Policy located at www.ea.com. To the extent that anything in this section conflicts with the terms of EA's Privacy Policy, the terms of the Privacy Policy shall control.
Of course, other services also make us agree to similar things that we typically don't even notice when we skip reading the EULA; but it appears that Origin really wants to make us their bitch. Will this stop you from getting Battlefield 3?

does BF3 require you to install origin to use, or does this only effect those who buy it THROUGH origin.
because if origin is a must... they may have just lost a sale...
