It's easy making huge dungeons when it's all random block positioning.

You get a quest from a merchant and then you get a quest from the Dark Brotherhood to kill that merchant. We're able to put other actors into the role of the quest giver so that merchant has a relative or a spouse or something who steps in his role and you can finish the other quest that you got even though you killed the guy.

Don't like such a decision much...

This was already mentioned months ago, around the time of the reveal.

Of course, that doesn't change the fact that it's an awkward and silly mechanism.

You prefer characters falling unconscious after being chopped at for few minutes? Stop nitpicking

Agreed that's nitpicking. I like the idea of NPC deaths not ruining their quests.

Yeah, that's pretty retarded... there should surely be some sort of repercussion for killing (quest) NPCs in a RPG?

If you kill a NPC you should live with the consequences IMHO.

And what happens if you kill all the relatives, spouses, children and pets? That happens to me a lot when I play.

There are - you now have to deal with the merchant's bitchy wife.

The quest just stays in your quest tab/journal as active and you can still finish it. Cool Face

I played Morrowind like i played Daggerfall, the "Dungeon explorer" way...until i got in that stupid cave where you are supposed to get that Illness for the Mainquests (without actually having that quest). After clearing that place i couldnt trigger that event anymore and the questline broke, leaving me with hours of wasted playtime and a sadface.

Hate that game since then

Good point. I guess it depends on the quest and the NPC, also. If the NPC has relatives or friends that makes more sense to let them pick up the quest from there.

Bethesda has released pictures of all the races, similar to this:

Would've linked all here if it weren't for the lame spoiler limit per post, so just go to Neogaf to check the other races instead: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=30366162&postcount=979

Have to say Bethesda did a brilliant job on these, especially considering the Lovecraftian fish people of their earlier games.
