|

Hello
Can anyone recommend something within a $1000 - $1500 price range that would run something like DX:HR and perhaps everything else at a medium (and maybe high) setting?
I'm sick of not being able to play decent games on the go and with the low requirements most games have nowadays it seems there's no reason I shouldn't be able to do this for cheap.
I've done a fair bit of research and it seems some HP models are decent but I've never really been into *laptop gaming* to the point of playing the latest and greatest on them.
Before you reply, let me get some common replies out of the way:

On second thought, hardware section's a silly place - let's not go there.

With that kind of budget, you should be able to play the game on high settings, easy. DXHR is pretty well optimized - plays on high(just aa/ssao disabled) on my year old Asus u30jc(i3/310m) just fine. I picked it up for less than 800 and makes a decent gaming laptop, imho, being a non-gfx whore. I recommend the hell outta asus, good quality builds and great warranty. Also recommend nvidia, prob something w/ a 520m or better.

Gaming laptop = You can play CoD
Gaming PC = You can play BF3
:/ There is simply not enough power. In them. It was a little bit different two-three years ago. Decent gaming laptops were useful for gaming. The new ones simply can not compete with the powerful Desktop Hardware
