Don't know if it has been mentioned, but it seems steam activation will be region locked:
Quote:

The PC version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution is region-locked.
Please be sure to purchase a copy from your own region, otherwise you might not be able to register the game.
If you should not be able to register your copy due to a region conflict, please return the game to your retailer. Square Enix cannot offer assistance in replacing incompatible registration codes.

I still can't decide if the AE is worth it. I don't care for the gamebreaking items or the bonus DVD(which I can acquire through other methods Very Happy ) so the only things that are potentially interesting to me are the additional mission and the artbook. The jump in price from SE to AE is pretty big: 10$ -> 35$
Has there been any info on how long the mission is?

The game's Russian publisher has stated on it's official forum that it will indeed be possible to change the language to english in the russian version by changing the Steam language. And if the polish keys are identical to the russian ones... Well, you get the idea Smile

Yeah it would be weird if Steam would allow the games to be gifted to someone abroad, but wouldn't let them play it.

I think it will use the end user's locale in the end - seems like the most reasonable thing to do. Can't imagine Valve not thinking this through.

These will probably be unlocked via some code right?

According to the beta, the only way to get a bolt-action silenced sniper rifle is via "gamebreaking items". Otherwise you gotta settle for a loud semi-automatic one that can't fit a suppressor.

There's nothing gamebreaking about the AUDs. Think of them as DX1's multitools .. and those ALONE are worth getting the Augmented Edition for Very Happy

Silenced sniper, sawed-off shotgun, AUD and the 10.000 credit bonus. Smile
(I think that was all the advantages, this does not cover the exclusive quest either.)

EDIT: Was answered.

EDIT: And the Linebacker GL and UR-DEAD proxy "mines".

Those, and the Sarif bonus from the first L.I.M.B clinic, allowed me to purchase pretty much everything I needed throughout the entire beta. Yeah... definitely OP for so early in the game. Fun though! Four new praxis points and several AUDs? Om nom.

hahah the Dragon's Tooth Sword was so overpowered that it wasn't even fun, one click and the enemy was already dead Razz

Early playtesters wound up with hundred of bullets in their inventory and never felt the need to scrounge for ammunition. That was around the time the game was reported to be too easy.

So we did a loot pass for the whole game, drastically reducing the amount of ammo in the game.

People were bitching and moaning about the lack of ammo.

i wouldnt count on it tbh, nor would i advise it if it should work since the built and retail is quite some time apart. Could generate unforseen bugs and glitches
