I have recently had some fun with these - In LA last week I tried Starbuzz (melon blue) and it was crazy good - i was so high I could hardly walk to the fricking toilet!
So i've just gone and bought myself a 28" pipe with 2 hoses from eBay (£30 cheapy but should suffice as I'm not very knowledgable on this shit), as well as the following:
50 quick lighting charcole disks
1 x Al Fakher 50g Grape
1 x Starbuzz 100g Blue Mist
1 x Starbuzz 100g Sex on the Beach
1 x JM's 100g Double Apple
I only tried Starbuzz in past so wanted to try a range from cheap as shit but highly renowned Al Fakher to the mega expensive other Starbuzz flavours (blue mist seems to be everyone favourite).
Now all I need to do is go and buy some extra strong foil from the super market, and wait for delivery.
Annoyingly, I didn't buy this shit while in Hollywood where I could have saved myself $20 shipping to the UK. But alas!
Anyone's advise, info or general thoughts welcome here! Best thing about Shisha / Hookah for me is I don't smoke normally and love the fact it doesn't taste like tobacco and gives a gental buzz (I find weed is too strong for me really).

Don't buy multi-hose shishas, from my experience the pressure can get low, and that on quite expensive ones. Also, the only way you can get high as you describe it is when you deprive yourself of oxygen(try not to hold it too long, unless you want it), it passes quite quickly, when you smoke too much you'll just get an epic headache, and probably barf if you don't smoke regularly.
Also, try not to smoke too often, as you inhale more nicotine than with usual smokes. I know a couple of people that went from shishas to cheap smokes.

Ive always wanted to try a real hookah (not a bong imitation version).
But a) dont know anyone with one b) they are fucking expensive....wiser to buy a really nice glass bong, better bang for your buck so to speak

I've always wondered if that shit actually gave them any type of buzz?

No, just Starbuzz tobacco.
Fuck knows what chemicals they put in it, but these shisha tobaccos give you a realllllly nice head high.

Starbuzz is really good. I just bought the "pink"-taste and well, it kinda tastes like bubblegum.
anyway, this is my setup:
you need 3 layers of foil. it doesn't have to be extra strong foil. take the first layer and put it into the head, open the holes and now put the tobacco into the head (this ways your head stays clean). now take 2 layers of foil and close the whole thing and put some holes into it, but don't put too many holes on it.
now, all you need is Cocobricos. don't use those quick lighting charcoles, they ruin the taste of the tobacco. you should use 2 Cocobricos for one session, this way you can smoke for 40-50 min. till the tobacco tastes like crap.

Where do you get your starbuzz Kurosaki?
I want a 250g Blue Mist - ordered from thehookah.com in the states but they basically messed me around - took my money and then said they were out of stock. after 4 weeks of BS I demanded a refund and just got it.
Wonder if anyone here has a good UK based Starbuzz contact?
