In normal situations car would have to win, but, believe it or not, ppl will actually try to avoid any sort of critter on the road, in the process injuring or killing themselves.
Say that deer jumps in front of your car, most will react by turning their car sharply, and getting injured in the process (slide off the road in the ditch, hit or get hit by another car etc.). What the reaction should be is just keep on, hit the deer (sure your front would probably be smashed, but you'll be alright), pull over and get the deer in your trunk and have a nice stew afterwards. You'll be alive and well fed
P.S. the damage to your car will cost as hell, but you may consider that as the most expensive stew you ever had xD xD
