All the friends I had that went over there came back fat like hippos! So watch what you eat, and don't breath so much air, over there even the air makes you fat.

Depends on what you like to eat. If you're into meat, party food and processed products (like most of the people) you're a dead man. If you're a vegetarian like me... not so much. But try and find fresh vegetables, nuts and legumes in USA: no easy task.

I don't like the streets and sidewalks in USA cities. There so wide and full of holes and shit. Ugly dumpsters, electricity lines above ground, no bicycle paths. It just looks so messy, almost like a 3rd world country. That's what you get when the rich don't want to pay taxes I guess.

oic, If you like sandwiches than subway has some healthy choices but if you dont work out or work with your body than stay away from the burger and taco joints, and soda drinks.

USA isn't made for walking..
I never understood why so many cities have such poorly constructed sidewalks, bicycle paths, now those, I never actually saw anywhere.
Maine is nice tho, good, damn good food stuffs around.
Only thing I miss, is the amusement parks, and the cheeze on a spray can (lethal stuff).
And, trying to find just regular flour, now that was actually hard.. it's was all with "stuff".. or treated..
USA rules though, when it comes to amusement.. Gawd I miss going to Kings Island and Cedar
point!
Can't we buy them now that the dollah is so low, and move them to europe?

$ may be low, but the cost of living is still far cheaper for the US. My favorite example is that of the 370z costing 30k GBP in the UK, and 30k USD in the states. Thats a huge fucking difference.

Depends, as I learned the hard way, lived for 10 years in the US..
The cost of car insurance in the USA, what I paid per month, is what I pay per year
here.. Veterans are insurance free almost. Then, I did want some health coverage,
about, 120 a month, free here, then I wanted dental.. Forget that,.
I always thought, Americans, you pay lower taxes, but you pay up the wazooo for
insurances of different types, and for so many companies, means more money is wasted
in the system.. naturarly, you can CHOOSE if you dont want any kind of insurance,
but imho, it's stupid to live without it, everyone has accidents sometime in life.
Here, taxes are higher instead, but we get the coverage for less or free.
Not to mention, I sorta love my 8 weeks of paid vacation.
Oh, and pizza, the staple food of mankind, was very expensive, atleast where I lived,
OH, TN, DC, Florida.. 15-20 bucks for a decent pizza with atleast some toppings?!?!
Here it is, 5-7 bucks, with 5-9 toppings. Just that alone ruined my wallet in USA..
Has pizza atleast gotten cheaper? And, what is up with that friggin' thick crust? GROSS!
But, ultimately what drove me nuts in the USA was the lack of the allmansright in nature,
where you can go everywhere you want, pick stuff you want, pitch a tent, fish, etc, as
long as you don't directly disturb the land owner, nor destroy living nature.
I tried to go mushroom picking once in Ohio, the land owner threw me out.. I was like, wtf,
isn't it a free country? Here, I can go where-ever the fuck I want, as long as I don't
destroy shit, or walk within disturbing distance of houses, or walk on planted crops.
Imho, that is freedom.. As a result, tonight I had elk file' with buttered chanterells
and a chanterelle sauce.. and tomorrow, I can eat the fish I caught today, in USA
they really didn't recommend eating fish caught in rivers, it's too polluted..
On tuesday, I'm going crayfish fishing, and on wednesday, it's blueberry picking time!
I guess what I feel like, is that life here, is waaaaaaaay more richer, than it was in the
USA, on a dollar per dollar basis.

If the land is private land, then no you cannot go onto the land without permission from the owner. If it's public land (and there are lots of public parks, etc) then yes, you can go on there. It's going to be different rules/regulations in state parks vs federal (national) parks, but as McHart pointed out, there's plenty of land here. Lots for people to own both individually and collectively so just do a bit of research to find where you can and can't go. And insurance is so high here because everyone sues...that's what america does best (sadly).
