It's the tiniest of efforts, yet a personal symbol of sentiments.

The point of the page is to show that we are strong together in this tough time. Think about all those killed and their families... just letting people know that you care can change a lot for a person who struggles now. And its so friggn easy to do anyway... even tho its just numbers on a newspaper.
First name (it could be fake, but thats just stupid), nation and age is required.
but tbh I don't know if id sign if it was a country outside scandinavia...

That's the point. It's really not about you. It's about the victims. I know for a fact that there are some of them who have seen this list and felt just ever so slightly better for it. For seeing that millions of people support them, even if it is in the most tiny of ways.

I have a different idea of what respect means. I don't want people to die - but I also expect people to assume I don't want people to die. I don't feel obligated to show that to anyone.
The damage is done and the loss is irrevocable. I show sympathy in person when and if I feel it's appropriate or I can't help it. I don't do it because someone tells me to do it, as that wouldn't be genuine and would make me feel like a liar.

They would also feel better if I shot Breivik in the head - but that doesn't mean I should do it.
