WHY... why do they keep changing shit, when it was perfectly fine how it was!
i use google image search quite a bit, and first they did this god awful update and called it fag view, or standard version or whatever, but atleast you could STILL use the basic version....
and now theyve fucked with that too! instead of letting me fine-tune the image sizes i want, i now just have the derped down 'big or medium or small' options... fuck you google. fuck you. 1024 × 770 IS NOT A LARGE IMAGE YOU FUCKWITS.

yeah garus i just saw that... but its bullshit having to restart a search or go to a new page to change your image sizes! that shit used to ALWAYS be a drop-down on the menu on the left.
why the hell would they remove it, it was so massively fucking useful 
do drop-downs, or more than 3 options totally confuse the majority of their user base or some shit.
we need another internet. one that you need to pass a basic skills test to use. keep all the retards on one internet, and the rest of us get our own customizations galore!!

It has been like this for a very long time, wtf you talking about? I don't remember the last time there was a drop down. Perhaps on the NZ version they kept some old design and finally remembered to change, but for a very long time they removed advanced options... You know, not to confuse the kiddies. -_-

nah it was there very recently for me - this is with the 'basic' version. never used their new 'standard version' so i dont know if that was different... but up till last week, i definately had a drop-down.

It looks like that to me when I log in with my gmail account :\
I tried to get the new look but only my gmail looks like that 'new' stuff...

I guess they are rolling accounts gradually and you are still not there yet. My account, for example, did not have the +1 button until I registered for Google+. Then it suddenly appeared.

do you see that at the VERY bottom of your google image search? click the 'always' bit, and it 'should' permanently switch to the old style.
cant say for sure, i use a google image search engine in firefox that automatically uses the old style 'basic' version.
