So there I was walking to the shop with my dog and an elderly woman was stopped with her dog across the road from me. As soon as her dog saw mine he barked and tried to leap across the road. The elderly woman fell over quite violently and whacked her face on the middle of the road. I was shocked and was going to help but her dog was barking and she told me to go away, twice. Someone in a car pulled up just a minute or so later to help her. I bet they thought I was a right cunt for walking off. I see this woman walking around all the time and I think she is a bit mentally ill.. I bet I'm going to get loads of crap from her next time I see her. Sad

Not yet...But then the shock could kill her...Then i would say yes.. Crying or Very sad

Nah its not your fault m8...You had to make a split second decision and you choose to walk away.. Very Happy

No seriousy its not your fault i would have probably done the same thing, the shock of what you seen plus her telling you to go away, it didn't really matter what you did at the time it wouldn't have been right to her.

I am sure she is fine, if she got up right away and other people were their to help her. It is her responsibility to be able to handle her dog and you didn't do anything wrong, you were across the street. I wouldn't worry about what the other people thought of you, if they were reasonable they saw you had a dog yourself, and then she waved you on.

On the brighter side she may have learned something from this. Like her dog needs training, maybe you saved the dog from a future hit by car

One of my biggest pet peeves are people who can't BASIC control or can't handle their animal.

I got yelled at once by a nut at the OFF LEASE area with my dog. , I think she was a nurse of some kind decided to walk a elderly lady who could barley walk in a off leash dog park. My dog listens but she started freaking out when my dog was about 20 meters away from her. There are usually 13 large dogs running around at one time. I, an able bodied person have been knocked down 2 times by running playing dogs.

Another time my dog went bounding over to a woman who was walking what I thought was a dog. It was her fucking cat on a leash. My dog stopped short on front of the cat and just stared at it. I think both me and my dog were in shock. I told her she was lucky because he had never encountered a cat before, ---in an off leash area. The guy I was with called her a retard to her face.

You're going to get loads of crap from her... you bet. That's what dogs do: leaving turd pastries for people to step in.

Shit i didn't mean to freak you out even more...Trust me it wasn't your fault no matter what happens after, i can picture that situation and nerves get the better of you, you literally made a split second decision when she said go away...She didn't want your help so you walked away, nothing wrong with that.

If it would make you feel better ring the police and tell them your concerned.

I read it as she was afraid of losing control of her dog if you came near with your own dog. Could at least be a possibility, old ladies rarely have good control over their dogs, they spoil them to much.
