I was ok this morning, went to work, then in the evening my right ear started to swallow. Now it's like i have a fuckin' wallnut lodged inside my ear, and it hurts like hell, and i also fell like i have some liquid wobbling inside. I am high on Nurofen and Aspirin right now, but i don't think this is gonna fix it. I also can't hear shit with my right ear.
Do you know some proper antibiotics for this (i'm not allergic to stuff, and i can get them over the counter) ? The doctor is out of the question, cause she's a cunt, and i also cannot skip work until next week, lots of stuff to finish.

what you really should be concerned about is when you're ear grew a throat and tongue to be able to swallow!!, thats much more fucking serious than a infection/blocked ear passage.....

Yeah, i'll do that today, in my lunch break at work. Thing is, i hoped my immune system will do its fucking job. It usually does, i didn't catch a cold or a flu in 11 years. But it seems this new bug catch it off guard. Sad

That's what i did, i went to a small private clinic today. They peeked inside my ear and found a pool of coagulated blood inside, along with a swollen area. They didn't see anything ruptured though; so they stuffed inside two types of gel and sealed the deal with a bandage. They also gave me antibiotics.

I had an inner ear infection at the start of the year and it affected my balance. It felt like I had been pushed around on a kids roundabout for half an hour and then suddenly got off, the only time I felt ok was when I kept my head PERFECTLY still. It lasted two weeks and I definitely would have preferred pain instead. It was even worse than having a fractured bone, imo.

I had a virus that hit the balance nerve... Couldn't stand up, couldn't walk, couldn't sit, everything just spinning and spinning, always. And it didn't matter if I kept my head still or not, it just kept spinning. So I lay in bed with a bucket next to it but I doubt I would've been able to actually find it with the world spinning like that constantly... Horror. Thankfully it passed within a few days. A nightmarish experience.

It's bad isn't it. I have a dog and I had to take him outside while feeling like that, I couldn't do it the first 2 days, had to get a mate to take him out, and then when I did I manage it I was projectile vomiting.

Edit: I was actually drinking the night before I first got the symptoms, so I'm guessing that made it worse, the day after and maybe why it lasted so long.

Amoxicillin is the antibiotic you want for ear infections.

Ear Infections suck and I've had them in every form, in each ear since I was a little tyke.
I've even had dual ear infections. I didn't even think this was possible but I've had it.
Worse day of pain in my life.

They tried to put tubes in my ears when I was little. This was to reduce the amount of fluid in the ear that could cause the infection, that didn't work. Had them in and out 8 times. The other thing they told me that can stop ear infections is having your tonsils removed, which I haven't had done yet.

I have one good sick time every year and it turns into an ear infection every time to the point where I can't hear and everything I do hear is mono and not stereo if you catch my meaning.
I usually take Mucenix to clear the infection since Amoxicillin requires a doctors prescription.

Also drink lots of OJ, the more Vitamin C the better as this helps your body's defense against infections. I've also heard that going outside when it's cold and your sick will help too, reason being that when your body is warm it doesn't fight as hard to remove the infection. If your body is cold it has to keep you warm plus fight the infection.

You can also go outside with a wet head in the winter and not get sick. I do it all the time, though your hair may freeze I've never gotten sick from it. I usually get sick from other co-workers

You go to the doctor in your lunch break? I'd just take the day off considering what your ear looks like.

Spirula Arachnea

Tiny spider known for laying eggs in the ear canals of mammals (incl. humans). They have a gland on their back with a locally anesthetic properties that they spray when they enter the ear and during descent into the ear canal. Once the target area has been reached, she lays up to 120 eggs that are fastened to the walls of the inner ear and then leaves the host. After 37 days the eggs hatch and the spiderlings eat tissue which cause inflammation and in rare cases hear loss. Most die, some leave the ear using the same anesthetic gland their mother did. A few stays and live on fluids and various tissues in the inner ear.
