If I ever move here, I need to get a place with good AC.

How the fuck do you guys living in hot countries survive?

In the states central air is a standard feature in houses and has been for over 50 years.

But don't the people earn less? My entry salary was ~45k€ here, I doubt it would've been even $45k in the states :/
Entry level CS jobs are CRAZY right now. In Cali you'll get picked up for $65k easily. New York $80k easily. Silicon valley $80k + insane options and benefits easily.

And remember these are only salaries. Options and benefits in CS industry are best in the country here, hell best in the world.

Get a security clearance and that gets raised by $20k a year easily as well. Before I changed my 'career' to doing what I do now; I was working IT in the military and I could have left with 0 college education and my security clearance making $90k a year easily as a contractor. If you are smart you start your own company and then work for yourself (For the government) and you make double that easily doing the same job.

Oh I know, have a friend in Baltimore that just got hired $135k for a cyberwar job. But he has a couple of years of informal experience in security Wink Still, insane field. But I hear the clearances come with certain travel restrictions attached...

Move to Albania.
I am in Tirana right now, on a business trip. The girls are hot and they are lookng for a savior.
Every third car is an Audi, Benz, BMW and not the small ones. But the drivers don't look like they earned it with sweat.

And don't trust the traffic lights, the drivers are ignoring it so you should run, not walk over the street.

Haha so in Romania is the same?

Btw I am from Bosnia and we won yesterday against Albania 2:0 in the EURO 2012 qualifications, so I am afraid a little bit of the locals Smile
But we lost against Romania 3:0 last friday, it was a miserable game.

It's hot now.
It's been like 30c+ for days or weeks.
40-50c in the sun and no wind.

In Norway I'm used to 15c, storm and rain and enjoy that in t-shirt.

I hate you.

If learning spanish is an option I'd say Uruguay (Montevideo) and Chile (Santiago) are great places. Maybe Argentina (Buenos Aires) too. And I don't recommend Brazil.

Even better: just travel the world and find a place yourself.

What's wrong with Brazil? Just had a friend come back from a 3-month spree in Brazil(Rio) and he loved it there. Didn't speak a word of Portuguese when he came there.

Well, the whole country is a mess. Corruption is sky high in all levels of society and government. Our roads are shitty, our public transportation sucks, violence is at civil war levels, everything but food is expensive (not so much for those who earn euros, but still expensive), everyone is trying to take advantage on everything, no matter what the cost is (sure it might happen in other countries, but it's not like here, I'm sure), taxes are really high (kinda like in Sweden, but the money isn't put to good use here)... I could go on.

I'm in Szczecin (Stettin).
Drove my car.

Also just got a call from my part-time job.
They asked if they could fly me back to Norway so I could pick up a truck there, drive it to Belgium to pick up a load, then drive that load back to Norway, unload it, then jump on a plane and get back here to Poland.

Gotta love being a wanted trucker Laughing
