Hey guys this is the system I'm planning on buying, but not sure about GPU.

CPU: Intel Core i7-2600K Quad-Core Socket LGA1155, 3.40Ghz
Motherboard: Asus P8P67 Deluxe (Rev.3.0)
Memory: Corsair XMS3 Dominator 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600MHz
Cooling: Antec KUHLER H2O 920 Liquid Cooling System
Case: Cooler Master HAF X Full Tower Gaming Case (RC-942-KKN1)
SSD: Corsair Force Series 3, 120GB 2.5" SATA
Power Supply: Corsair Professional Series Gold CMPSU-850AX 850W
Blu-Ray Drive: LG BH10LS30 Black 10x Blu-ray Writer
DVD Drive: LG GH24NS70 Black SATA DVD-Writer 24xDVD+R
HArd Drive: 4Xsata hard drives 7200 rpms

Video Card: Radeon 6970 (single card)
or
NVIDIA 580 (single)
or
Radeon 5870x2 (crossfire)
or
NVIDIA 480x2 (SLI)

I think I have too much power(850w) for a single card but not enough for crossfire or SLI ???

Any advice on GPU or System???

Thanks

I think all you need to do is to choose a model with a reference pcb, preferably one with a good cooling system and then flash it with the 6970 bios.

Google a bit for some tutorials or else wait for Werelds's reply, should be soon. Very Happy

No need to flash it to 6970, unlock shaders instead. Lowers the risk of damaging the RAM due to higher RAM voltages (6970 and 6950 use different RAM modules). Unlock shaders to 1536 and overclock to post-6970, raise voltage with Afterburner. Wink

Too much for single GPU indeed, enough for multi-GPU.

Thanks for the advice guys. I think I will go with the 6950, still undecided about single or crossfire.
