Heh, I started cooking about 2 or 3 years ago because I saw some morons youtube channel. Was him and his friend cooking, and they were complete retards but they still made great meals, so I thought fuck it, if they can do it so can I.
The bad part is that now I can not eat lots of takeaway food or ordered stuff anymore... KFC Hotwings? naahh, selfmade is better. Order a pizza? Nah, making the dough yourself is maybe 30 minutes of work for way more deliciousness.
Also no pancake or cakemixes anymore, doing the real stuff yourself takes at most 10 minutes more work, and you can control how much sugar and other things you want in it.
So keep doing what you are doing, it's such a lot of fun, also women are way into it when you can cook great meals.

i had 450g of pork mince (dunno what mince is called elsewhere... just ground pork i guess?)
half an onion diced
put it all in a bowl and mixed it
put in one egg, tipped in 3/4 cup of breadcrumbs, mixed it
added 1tbsp of rubbed rosemary and a little less of sage, and added a bit of salt and pepper (couple of cracks of each), then mixed.
(i LOVE rosemary though, so maybe substitute with other herbs that you like)
then just rolled em into balls, heated up a pan on the stove with some olive oil, and cooked em.
next time im going to throw in some bacon as well, and see how that goes
cartoon suggested cooked rice, so ima gonna have to try that too.

Been cooking for myself and family (from time to time) even before high school.
When I was little I wanted to become chef... It would have been easier :\

Dude you can still become chef! It'll take some effort... but it's perfectly possible to do if you ask me. You could argue it's difficult to make time and money for some extra education... but I don't think that's an excuse to not achieve greatness.

I don't know how is the situation in Croatia (bad I guess ) but here you would make more money as a chef than as a physician, that's for sure
