meh... Why would I wan't sth that will glow in the dark while I try to sleep?
I don't get these case moddings anyways. Just boosting your own ego imo.
It's a computer, and it does what computer should do. Whether it glows in the dark is absolutely irrelevant to me.

Making it look like Absinthe, how mature.
But it does look good though, but i couldn't have it myself as i would go crazy from all the lights as i like it dark when i sit at the computer.

You guys should check out a mineral oil cooled computer
http://www.pugetsystems.com/aquarium-computer.php
Also, I've been running a liquid cooled setup for several years now and it is almost always just above ambient. Since my radiator sits right by a single paned window, when it's cold outside, the temps drop below the room's temperature.

This is not about the looks, this is about it being his hobby. The whole system as he's built it is just amazing. Whether you like it or not is beside the point really
@ dingo_d: this is in his living room, not his bedroom you silly

Still I don't see it as sth I would like in my living room.
He can do what ever he wants, I just said that I don't see what's so cool in it (except it glows in the dark )

Yep...
And a Speccy screenshot
Of course, I'm running at ~3.93GHz, which Speccy doesn't show
And finally, my temps

Nice.
Is that some special cooling solution? Looks nifty xD

Having the cooler outside the window is good - unless its a window facing south and in the middle of the summer!

Kind of, I designed the loop myself using only one pump and one rad with just over sixteen feet of tubing. This time, I added quick disconnects and a fan shroud to the huge rad. This way, I can just pull the fans off, disconnect the rad, then carry it outside to wash it off with a hose because the fucker gets super dusty in my office as do my fans, but they have filters that trap most of it.

You do folding or so? |
I was folding for a while, then I stopped for some reason that I can't remember now...
Yeah, it runs farmville at, like, 67.3 fps! I also check my derpmail superfast!
I just recently put in the 3 GTX580's because I didn't want to do a complete rebuild (my usual cycle is now at 22 months, used to be every 6 months or so).
Thanks for the compliments! That isn't why I built it, but it's nice to know that I did a good job according to my fellow humpers.
edit: When I get back from the Lake this weekend, I'll post some pics of it all lit up, I added 4 UV CCL in the case to illuminate the fluid. Just because I'm a douche that way. After all, what good is an American that can't be a douche?

So jelly!!
I think it was year ago, I bought water cooling kit for 300 from petratechshop
It was combined from 2x120 radiator, switech cpu block and some other good company pump
I install all of it right, put distiled water and all that stuff..and I see water is leaking from the pump...
Turns out I forgot to o-ring for the pump :/ and RMA the motherboard right away
Have not touch that stuff ever since. Maybe in couple of years when I get steady job, I will try again.

My dream is a high-end PC enclosed and sealed in a tank-case filled with fluorinert, with pumps, tubes and high compression cooling.

I've always used de-mineralized, distilled water, water itself isn't a great conductor of electricity, it is the minerals in it (electrolytes like salt, mostly) that are the conductors. I've only had one leak since I started using liquid cooling and it was on a radiator connection where I just had to use a bit of teflon thread tape to seal it up.
I've heard of a lot of people having problems like leaky pumps, rads, blocks, etc. I always run my pump on a secondary psu for at least 24 hours to bleed/burp the system and to check for leaks. Since I have a cat, I also close off the room as the coolant additives are definitely not to be ingested (ethylene glycol is the worst since it has a sweet taste, but since cats can't taste sweet things, they don't usually lap it up, but I digress).
I will say this, since I went liquid cooled, my build budget has almost doubled compared to my old build budgets, hence the longer wait time between builds now. But, every time I do a fresh build, the old build becomes my media server/HTPC and I can play almost all of the current games on it still (my current server is sporting both of my old GTX295's in Quad SLI (which doesn't scale very well, BTW).
Still, back to OT, I don't know that I would want my pc in my desk, what if I just needed to unplug something, then reseat the plug? Okay, I'll just take this here table top off, then remove the components that are in the way, then reseat this here plug, then reassemble. Seems like a bunch of work. I look at this like I look at a Ferrari, it may be awesome to look at, and even more awesome to drive, but I wouldn't know how to, let alone afford to, be able to drive it properly. But, if I could afford it, I would damn sure make the effort to fuck it off so badly as to make it unusable for the next poor chap that comes along!
