I was an idiot. Shouldn't have watched e7 this week... now I have to wait fucking two weeks for the next episode. And it was already a torture waiting for e6 1 week

Since it's based on a book, is there enough material for a 2nd season?

Isn't it a whole series of books? Or aren't they connected to each other? And actually if you take a look at the stuff, I'm still awaiting winter. Don't fuck me over HBO, I want my epic battles against those deadly creatures! And not just one episode!

The series of books are called "A Song of Ice and Fire". There are four books out at the moment, with the fifth one coming out in July or thereabouts. They are all connected.

I'd say that's very likely, yes. The exception perhaps being book 3 which is (in my edition) divided into two parts. That might be the case for the tv series as well.

Isn't it book 4 that is divided to some extent ? I believe book 1-2-3 are all coherent with all the characters.

Book 3 was really long and was published in two parts in some countries. In others it was published as one big volume. You are right about Book 4 though, it focuses on a smaller set of characters; I believe Martin said Book 5 wouldn't be a "sequel" as much as it would focus on the characters left out of 4.

They released it on the HBO Go service as a special treat.
The same episode will be aired on HBO as normal on Sunday. HBO Go users just got it early.

I haven't read the books so bear with me on this question: why does the show have so much sex? For me at least, its hard to get into the atmosphere of the show when they keep having such frequent sex scenes.
1 and 2 are still amazing.

Only the first ep has explicit sex scenes. Besides, who'd in their right mind would complain about Daenerys humping?

yeah, there's far more than in the first ep, there's a few with Daenerys and a few other scenes.. it's like 1 sex scene at least per episode.

well I guess it's supposed to show that in this fantasy medieval time sex aint that big of a taboo as in our society. Sex has an important part in much of the story imo. Ofc not every sex scene is meaningful.

Many adolescent characters in the series are younger in the books.
