Arent witchers supposed to be super-human warriors with super human moves which means they're able to roll faster than anyone can attack em
Kinda like a polish mid-evil version of a jedi
Dont mess with God, he can impregnate your girlfriend/wife without taking his pants off!
To be fair you can't afford to die on the hardest difficulty anyway since you'll have to start over then. Wonder how that's accomplished thou. Will it delete your savegames or what?
So you mean you can save but if you die, saves are deleted?
Dunno but that would be hilarious. I imagine you'll only get one save slot on hardcore or whatever it's called.

Also, aren't skills/talents/feats in an RPG (even if action) be balanced, so that you don't have one move that is clearly the easiest way to victory, thus trivializing combat?
Playing on hard here, and to be honest the game is rather far from button mashing. Sure, you can chain up a few attakcs sometimes, but one block from the opponent and it may very well end in your death, if you're not carefull (and fighting more then one foe). Letting yourself be surrounded quite often ends in your death, and there was one fight still in the prologue, where I had to resort to petards to even the odds. They do kill you really fast, unless you're protected by quen sign, and that wears off fast too. It's also cool, that what you see on the enemies is what you get in the fight - and not only when it comes to shields and ranged weapons. When someone is wearing heavy armour, count on him being quite a bit harder to kill then the regular footsoldier (and, funny little detail, the sound when your sword slashes him is also different, reflecting that).
Also, please keep in mind, that fighting system in the prologue is kinda bare - your character is without experience, and there are many, many things to unlock and give you more fun and options to explore while fighting. And even in this state, it's way more engaging and challanging than fighting on the beginning of many RPG's I've played before.
As for other things: the atmosphere, characters and dialogues are simply epic, and not in that shiny-armour-dragon-fighting sense . There's quite a bit of humour, but grim and well-timed. So far, I esspecially like King Foltest's brute way of expressing himself . Or, the fact that the enemy soldiers scream
Spoiler:
"sister-fuckers!"
, which reflects one detail you can learn from playing the first Witcher . There's a mountain of such details, and that's only the prologue...
So far, the game is meeting my expectations. And they were quite high, hyped up by all the waiting and videos.
Oh, as far as optimisation goes, it's not perfect, but not horrible either. My PC is a little bit aged (Phenom I x4 at 2.4gz, HD4850, 4GB ram) and while I definitely can't get it to work acceptably on high, it runs fine on a little tweaked medium and still looks kick-ass. I did expect it to run a little better, but hey, as I said, my machine is definitely not top end.

If anything I always prefer these kind of elite warriors to have an easy time slicing through the weaker enemies. IMO a group of drowners shouldnt pose a problem for a witcher. On the other hand a heavily armored soldier should be a tough fight but because of the heavey armor you can roll around avoiding the soldiers attacks.
But I guess you just need the right tactics for each enemy, using fire against foes with heavy armor for instance.

"Easy" for you, then?
Well I won't probably play hardest because I am pressed on time. But if they wanted to give real hardcore, they should have removed saves altogether and call it "Korean mode".
I don't define challenging combat, by simply dying fast, if you're not paying attention, I define it by taking smarts to beat an opponent. Not the same tactics over, and over (why even call it tactics, when it's repetition) like in 99.9% of games. Good action combat is like it's in G2 or Risen, different mobs, different approaches, no easy-roll button.
The combat is actually pretty difficult. You can't go around button-mashing, and even in the prologue enemies are pretty tough.
First rule: DONT. EVER. GET. SURROUNDED. Unlike Assassin's Creed games, in TW2 enemies gang up on you, and even 3 the weakest enemies can kill you instantly.
The dialogues are amazing, I love influencing people with the Axii sign (Geralt actually DOES the sign during the conversation, amazing little detail).
I have to go see my gf now, I'll play it later in about 5 hours.
The game is also well optimized, I have everything on high besies the ubersampling and it's about 50-60 FPS everytime.

Anyway, hope I am really wrong about this.
Yeah I agree with your point, its so lazy design to just have overpowered enemies that kill you fast. Thats why I liked the witchers style of having a silver and an ordinary sword.
But its still an action rpg with pretty shallow "tactics". Though its deeper than most games so just be happy with what you get...

So i know this guy who is playing this game, he told me that this game is totally a button smasher/no brainer. And het added that he didn't like the lack of decent AA, he didn't like blurring.
Anyone can confirm the lack of decent AA?(blurry fake AA) and the fact that it's a total buttonsmasher? I can't try yet because it's not cracked. We deserve to know.
Everybody whom bought the "bust" edition or rather the full collectors edition (130$ or what it was.) got to play it one day earlier or so it was planned but due to a bug from CD Project's side instead of having it exclusive to Polish customers it was changed to allow for everyone to activate (If you have a CE serial.) although before this was changed it's already been twelve or so hours so instead of midnight 16th 00.01 it was about 11.30 noon.
Next up is premium edition (Digital likely following after retail editions.) at 00.01 17th and then afternoon or so the normal retail edition serials can be used to unlock the game.
Got ahold of the patch via a region change for the registry values the game uses (EN to PL as the EN based patch is not available, changelog on the previous page plus it fixes the launcher and game exe not to be placeholders.) but the GoG type serial is likely not meant for activation at all (Well obviously.) so I can't do anything myself until 07.01 morning or when it was tomorrow that GoG finalizes the installation.
(I can and did however register a account and activated it so I have the DLC and other stuff prepared plus I customized the settings as to be a bit above ultra but I'll likely have to toss out Ubersampling, a guy with similar hardware got 10 - 15 FPS with that on but 30 - 35 FPS with it disabled at 1920x1200 and everything else enabled.)
