The biggest spider = Goliath Tarantula, aka Goliath Bird-eater (it does eat birds if it can catch one). It is a hunter spider, catching everything from mice to birds. Fangs are 1 inch long each. I really like spiders. Don't know why people are scared of them. They are docile creatures unless provoked. (Well, not totally true, some tree spiders are fucking assholes, but they usually have bright coloring to indicate that fact) Great pets. The only thing you have to do to keep them is refill a little water dish once a week, and drop a couple of crickets in each month.

I've had one of those. Btw, there are quite a few spiders that eat birds. The Goliath spider doesnt normally eat birds since it's mostly on the ground rather than climbing.
