Don't remember Canvas ever pulling a stunt like this and I'm pretty sure they would've taken them off the air here if this was true. We get BRT 1+2 (or whatever the fuck they're called now, Één and Ketnet/Canvas I think HubU?) here in NL too. That and it's a public channel, i.e. government funded, so no, this can't be true
It is a sketch from a Belgian television show called Neveneffecten 'Side effects'
In the sketch it is seen that you can openly apply to a television channel (Canvas/Ketnet) with your idea for a television show.
The guys apply with this as a kid show to teach about masturbation.
The representative for the channel is of course appalled but of course there is still a funny punchline- he says that although it is unsuitable for the Children's network, it might be suitable for the culture network.
(Canvas/Ketnet are on the same channel, from morning to afternoon it is Ketnet and shows children's programming and in the evening it switches over to Canvas which shows cultural programmes, a lot of which is based on art, etc.)
After explaining that he thinks it is totally unsuitable for children, the representative says - Why in God's name a penis?
They say, well how can you explain to children about masturbation without a penis.
The rep says- You don't explain that to children!

We like to claim that we teach our children better french in school then the wallons do with dutch, its a requirement to pass highschool. I don't think it's a requirement in wallons schools. correct me if i'm wrong. i for one speak french for jack shit maybe some really basic stuff

Probably not all of them, but I live a few km off the border near Liège/Luik, and the cunts across the border don't only refuse to speak Dutch/Flemish (because they can), but a lot of them can still understand and even speak our dialects around here just fine. Still, they come across the border into our shops, and keep speaking French, acting as if they don't know anything else
Sorry HubU, don't know where exactly you're from, but the fuckers just across the border here are just as arrogant and annoying as the French themselves
