The main problem is that they are equating this (murdering of innocent civilians) with the liberation operation named Oluja, and the murdering happened AFTER the operation ended.
Therefore you cannot say that this operation was a murder.

That's why you don't understand what the real patriot is. I'm not nationalist and I don't sing fascist songs. Oh for the love of jeebus. I thought the hump would be a safe refuge from the news frenzy today.
Why m4trix, why? Unless the convicted generals have the Witcher 2 leak in their hands I don't want to read about them here.
The Hump is a safe haven where I can unwind after work, where our country's problems don't exist, because globaly, we're too small to be noticed. And thank fuck for that.
I have no idea if they commited any crimes, and I simply don't care. To me they're just regular people I have never met. And just because someone fights in a war, even a just war, does not mean this person automatically deserves my respect, admiration and undying devotion.
It's kinda like when our football team loses, the nation automatically blames the referee.
Did it never occur in the minds of my countrymen that they actually might be guilty?
That our football players are just not that good?

If I get this right, this whole story is fed to us to pacify our own consciences.
Example: The USA deliberately fuck up whole countries for oil with "fake" wars based on "fake" threats while the world watches and a small country like Croatia defends itself in a "real" war and a military operation gets out of hand.
Is Bush persecuted? No, but don't worry, some poor guy who stood up for something and fought for a reason is paraded on TV and sentenced. See, there is justice after all, everything is alright.
I'd add something to the general conses: all war criminals should be held accountable, but let's start with the biggest first, let's not get caught up with persecuting small fishes while the real bastards do as they please.
This isn't supposed to be an America rant, there are more examples in history like Russia during WW2 or the French who still celebrate Napoleon as a hero. There are far greater injustices to worry about than this and I'm amazed how many people here agree that it's good that Den Haag spent years persecuting this specific war criminal and that this made the world a better place.

What is it that you want? That we acknowledge that other war crimes occur and the offenders go free? Thats easy: I acknowledge that wholeheartedly. And it's a travesty.
